^ Yea, I'm pretty sure I've heard that too.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
Life Must Go On is embarrassing...and so is Away in Silence... And Rain. Extremely cheesy pop songs.
I agree Mark's tone in FC is horrible.
The only songs I don't skip on FC are A Thousand Faces and Fear. I don't care for the others... I actually only listen to it if my iPhone is on shuffle.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
Thought the bridge to Away in Silence is pretty good when Mark jumps in.
I appreciate music and I thought Full Circle had some unique qualities to it. Song you Sing was a different side of Mark that we rarely see. Riffs in Suddenly,Fear,Overcome are pretty good. Thousand faces was the first song that we heard Mark's vocal range.
I try not to judge music to much because of what music means to people and I respect that. Full Circle was a good album. Not their greatest but a good album

I've already posted it, but it doesn't matter.
Remember when FC was released, there were itunes charts.
Away in silence was a big seller on day one, and if I remember correctly, one of the band members saying they had noticed and that it would probably be a single then.
Who knows, this song may have been a chart topper for them.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
I remember a radio station played Away In Silence during an interview with the band. The radio station was pushing to have it be a single. Too bad Windup records sucks at being a record label.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
apparently the guys chose the singles and Stapp was in minority with Full Circle and Bread of Shame.
Over thinking, over analyzing, separates my body from my mind..
Re: Revisiting Full Circle
Bread of Shame would've been a terrible choice for single especially when you take Creed's history into account. I like Full Circle but a lot of people I know didn't so it probably was a good thing it wasn't used.

I really think the heavier side of Creed will be much more appreciated than the pop radio single stuff.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
^I think that is the catch. Heavier singles will be more appreciated critically but the pop singles will be more successful commercially.
I think Mark wants the heavier side of Creed to shine through. But I do agree that Away in Silence would have been a great single after a thousand faces

Apparently Mark wanted Rain to be released as a single, and it happened. Rain definitely is one of the weakest songs on the albumShortman45 wrote:^I think that is the catch. Heavier singles will be more appreciated critically but the pop singles will be more successful commercially.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
I don't agree about Rain.
It's catchy, and it's one of the rare FC songs where Stapp actually sounds like his old self.
I still don't understand why it didn't get bigger.
IMHO, Creed could write the best song of their career, and 95% of radio DJ's wouldn't play it because the band has such a bad reputation. I'm pretty sure Stapp's solo record will be a flop because of this.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
I like "Full Circle" a lot more than most people here do, apparently. In my opinion it's better than Weathered but not as good as MOP and Human Clay.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
This may get me flamed, but I like it more than Weathered. They had become so commercial by Weathered, that it all seemed like superficial ballad-y pop-stuff to me. One the other hand, I really liked Time, A Thousand Faces, Rain and a couple others.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
Honestly if this album came out in like 2003 and Scott's voice was still in top form, I think a lot of people would say this is better than Weathered. Full Circle is more of a rock record where Weathered goes through phases. Starts out heavy and progressively gets softer.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
Their best song ever, Who's Got My Back Now comes from Weathered....Full Circle was trash
Re: Revisiting Full Circle
Listening to it right now after probably 3 years and it sounds great. Mark just rips on this...man what riffs ! Flip's drumming is super and Scott's singing and lyrics stand out. Brian is a little low in the mix but his basslines sound great.
Funny how you can appreciate and hear new things in a record even after years.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle
I still enjoy it. Vocals? Not so much but the lyrics are really what stand out & that's where Stapp always shines even if you don't like his voice.
