The Game of Thrones Thread.
Re: The Game of Thrones Thread.
GAH the books are fantastic! It's so hard to put them down. All of Ned's chapters depressed me though, knowing the outcome...
I also pixeled myself a new avatar to boast my love of this series.

Re: The Game of Thrones Thread.
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and there's no better way to start than on the Game of Thrones thread.
The series is fantastic. Just went through a marathon a couple of weeks ago and it's just so well made.
Since I'm not English nor American, but I can read and understand English very well I'm thinking of ordering the first two books from Amazon UK since in Portuguese it's two books for each one ie "A Game of Thrones" is divided into "A Game of Thrones" and "The Wall of Ice". I don't know why, maybe because of the money. Since the series is 5 books already, I would have to buy 10 books and they're too expensive.
What do you guys think?

Oh man.. Season 3 is going to be phenomenal! I'm not even worried about them screwing up, there's so much good stuff in there.
I'm really happy to see the Reeds btw. Better late than never, I guess

I still want to see the Bastard. What bums me out is seeing Robb and Cat and knowing what's coming at the end of the season. : ( < Spoilers

I've got a bad feeling they're going to merge the bastard with his father. Not sure though. Has he even been casted yet?
(Spoiler->)Yea, I wonder where they're going to put it. I've been reading around on a forum and speculation is that it will on episode 8, with the purple wedding on episode 10. George Martin will be writing episode 7 for the perfect set up.

Re: The Game of Thrones Thread.
Fast forward to about 1:36 in this.

This guy has been cast as 'Boy' but for some reasons is contractually obligated not to talk about it so I think we can put two and two together.
I had the same fear as you though but seeing Locke (or Vargo Hoat in the books) flying the Bolton banners in the scene with Brienne and Jaime in that video makes me think Roose will take Harrenhal and those scenes will work out the same as ASOS. My guess is they'll nix the Brave Companions thing and just have them be Bolton men.

Re: The Game of Thrones Thread.
Timo how do you know so much about actors within their roles in this...? Or are you just presuming, because you're actually a huge fan of the books?

Re: The Game of Thrones Thread.
I'm not really sure I understand that question right.
Yes I'm a huge fan of the books, and Iwan Rheon looks a lot like how I imagined the character he plays. I haven't seen him in costume yet, so yea, I can only presume he'll do a great job.
