Based off any and all reviews of the album I can find off Twitter/FB comments; The First The Last, From The Sky, and Throw Them To The Lions are the majority faves, People have also mentioned Desolation, Traipse, As The Silence Becomes Me, and Trust, but not nearly as much as the other 3. Only once I've seen Legions mentioned as a fave. I have yet to hear a single mention of Make It Hurt, Found and A Lot Like Sin from anyone other than a couple members of TABN

I was there. From The Sky, Make Them Hurt, and A Lot Like Sin were my favorites. Fast and Heavy. I thought Trust had a boring chorus. First and Last might be the most poppy song they've done and was my least favorite. Found was the instrumental song. They played the entire album so loud that by the time the band got up to play Mark sounded like a chipmunk to me.

The guy from the local radio station reminded me why I don't listen to rock radio anymore. Not funny at all and made a point to spell Traipse three times because he wasn't sure how to pronounce it. There were 300 of us. I saw Stijn and Alex. The girls behind me were from Germany. Live performance was great and they opened with Bringer of War. That song is growing on me.

Desolation is one that I want to go back and listen to because it starts pretty soft and slow and then ramps up the volume and heaviness. Then abruptly goes back to quiet again.

From the Sky has an unexpected third quarter where Mark's voice is highly processed. I had a hard time understanding what was being sung but still think the song will be top 5 for me. Legions, Throw them to the Lions, Traipse, and As The Silence Becomes Me did not stand out on first listen.

Could the processed vocal part in From The Sky be compared to the part in Providence where it is too? Or is it even more processed?JPSCHULZ82 wrote:From the Sky has an unexpected third quarter where Mark's voice is highly processed. Its nice to hear a song has that heavy-soft dynamic within it rather than just the album over all.JPSCHULZ82 wrote:Desolation is one that I want to go back and listen to because it starts pretty soft and slow and then ramps up the volume and heaviness. Then abruptly goes back to quiet again.

What exactly is processed in Providence?

"The wars that we wage" at the end of the bridge.
For all of the hope that it brings...
