I think you would like Def Leppard's first two albums if you're into NWoBHM, Kev. Not like anything else in their catalogue.

Dream Theater - A Mind Beside Itself (all three parts in one listen. Erotomania, Voices, The Silent Man.)
I'm really digging their Awake album recently. Really good stuff. I enjoyed it better than the album before it, Images and Words. Too bad, the album was released in a year that the mainstream didn't really care about an album like this (1994).

I've been trying to get into Dream Theater lately. Train of Thought and Octavarium are cool. Might give Awake a listen next!
I've been on a Korn and Black Stone Cherry kick lately.

I know Alter Bridge, Tremonti, and Creed have enough Mark Tremonti acoustic intros to last a lifetime But I just heard the intro Mark did to the song "Flicker" for Submersed, and I really wish Mark saved that for his projects Its so beautiful

Trivium - Departure
My all-time favorite Trivium. Shogun is an extremely close second.

Completely agreed, NOW I’m excited for the album. Red Cold River was alright, but Feed the Wolf did absolutely nothing for me. Really dig this oneTimotheus wrote:Best song from the three so far!SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:

Really not a fan of any of these new BB songs. Same stuff tbh. Getting stale to me.
The Dear Hunter - Waves
Check them out if you havent^ almost the entire catalog is a story. Act IV is my #1.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I think I rather hear stale Breaking Benjamin songs than Skillet and Shinedown and Theory of a Deadman, etc. trying to go the poppier route and not creating enjoyable songs in the process, imo. I don't mind it when rock bands get poppier as long as they create some good songs in the process. Steven Wilson sorta went poppier with To The Bone, especially Permanating sounding like it was Abba-influenced, but I enjoyed that song a lot. Those bands I listed didn't really had a song in their latest albums that I enjoyed as much as Permanating which sucks for me.austinjhnsn wrote:Really not a fan of any of these new BB songs. But yeah, these three new Breaking Benjamin songs I'm not enjoying as much in comparison to the first three songs they released for Dark Before Dawn (Failure, Angel's Fall, Defeated).
Anyway, I'm listening to Steven Wilson - Permanating.
Just why Bollywood dancers in particular for the music video?
