What are you listening to right now?

Earthside's Let The Truth Speak album. These guys definitely do not suffer from the second-album syndrome. A lot of great, fresh, proggy ideas keeping the genre alive.

I've been pretty much exclusively listening to my normal playlist shuffle ever since I got here this semester. However, each day there are different songs that catch my attention and capture my emotions. It's very much like therapy.
Speaking of therapy...I think right now in my life, the only therapy I need is to sing my lungs out to emo songs. The events of this week really have awakened the inner emo kid in me. And I'll get to do exactly that on Saturday because I get to see STEREOtype!
Just sing your lungs out and be you! Best therapy Ever!

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Is it strange that I actually love listening back to my own performances? I recently re-discovered that I had this show from 2014 up on Bandcamp, which I'd sort of intentionally forgotten about assuming it was terrible since it was within my first couple years of playing acoustic shows. Gave it a listen, and I was like "....damn, that's not bad!" Other than fudging up the lyrics / layout to Nutshell, but the rest of it was pretty solid. And for some reason I realized I really enjoy listening back to it, partly because (obviously) I love the songs, and partly because I like critiquing myself, but, like... it was just a really nice set with some fun banter. I've listened back to it a few times now over the last few weeks and it really makes me miss being active in music, being out playing shows several times a year. Life kinda got in the way since 2020 and I just haven't gotten back into the grind yet (though I'm trying). Ah hell, I'm rambling again...
If you want to give it a listen, hop on over: https://moonriseblue.bandcamp.com/album ... r-07-12-14

My friend Kelly sent me this song. I am at a loss for words.
I'm in love with somebody...
Found someone who completes me...
I'm in love with somebody...
Oh yeah...
And it's Lzzy Hale!

Funny, I was gonna rant something about Alabama/College Football Playoffs in the What Grinds Your Gears thread, but college football has become so corrupt it's probably my fault at this point for being disappointed by anything related to it at all.

Poets of the Fall's Carnival of Rust album.
They took part of a performance in the Game Awards yesterday where they played a song they made for the Alan Wake 2 game and the presentation looked really good with the chorography and stuff. Would be something if they can ride the buzz off of that performance and do a US tour.

Nothing More featuring Lacey Sturm - Best Times
This is already a good song by itself. Having Lacey Sturm on guest vocals makes it better.

Going through a Trivium phase the last 3 weeks so I've been listening to all their albums in a playlist.

Shinedown - Breathe
Apparently, this was a bonus track from Threat To Survival that's on Youtube now. Why was this left out of the main album??? I like this more than most of the stuff from that album.
