Not actually listening to it, but it's stuck in my head. Fitting considering my health state right now.

Maybe my favourite Bowie song.
For all of the hope that it brings...

It's go time.

Steven Wilson's The Harmony Codex album. I hope I can enjoy this album a little more than The Future Bites.

This is definitely one of my favorite eras of music. That late 90s, sort of alternative/AC, Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind, Eve 6, Stroke 9, Nine Days (dang, why did EVERY band have a number in their name?), Semisonic, Wallflowers, and so on. If there was really a market for it, I'd absolutely love to front a cover band that focused solely on that sound.

A friend of mine I met in Oregon during my travels showed me that this song can be awesome when lifting weights.

He was right! It is a great cover!

You might like some of the stuff my favorite local band, STEREOtype, plays. They do play Flagpole Sitta, as well as stuff by some of the bands you named, such as Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind, Inside Out by Eve 6, Absolutely (Story Of A Girl) by Nine Days, and Closing Time by Semisonic. And the singer Danny plays 3 AM by Matchbox Twenty at his solo acoustic shows.

Then again, a lot of the other stuff STEREOtype plays is pop-punk. I'm not sure whether that's up your alley or not. It sure is up mine. I have actually learned many of the songs they play in case I'm called to fill in on lead guitar with them again.

Just listening to guitar players that make me want to set my own on fire for disgracing the instrument in not living up to their awesomeness:

Strange, I did almost exactly the same thing in that order when adding them to my Soundcloud playlists yesterday. Did you check out any of Ankor's new stuff? I'm so-so on their fourth song Stereo but really like Darkbeat, Prisoner, and Oblivion.

Yeah I've been keeping up to date with all the singles Ankors been dropping but I wish they would just drop a full album already :lol I'm tired of the one-single-every-couple-months thing they get going on.

Graspop 2022

I'm listening to and watching Tremonti at Graspop 2022. I love this band. It's heavy and chaotic, fits me and matches my energy, calms me down. Can't wait for the next album and tour.

I feel the same. Mark is the one musician I feel like I am the most similar to with musical thinking.

I've been pretty much exclusively listening to my normal playlist shuffle ever since I got here this semester. However, each day there are different songs that catch my attention and capture my emotions. It's very much like therapy.

Speaking of therapy...I think right now in my life, the only therapy I need is to sing my lungs out to emo songs. The events of this week really have awakened the inner emo kid in me. And I'll get to do exactly that on Saturday because I get to see STEREOtype!
