Noticing The Little Things (On All Albums)
Noticing The Little Things (On All Albums)
I know we have the Shout Out thread, but that's more about people saying moments they love from the album.
I'm talking about the tiny little things within the songs that others may not have noticed yet..
For example..
Addicted To Pain - (solo) 2:52
There is a very fast little guitar lead run down in the backing rhythm. It interlinks the change in riff behind Mark's part.
Calm The Fire - (chorus) 2:28
They've added a guitar squeal in at the end of every vocal line.. It has a what sounds like 2 half bends on it.

Re: Noticing The Little Things In Fortress
Ya I was about to ask about a thread like this. The only difference I was gonna ask for was for it to not just be about Fortress, because I don't think we've ever made a thread like this for every song, right?
I love in Fortress in between the first chorus and second verse. You can very discretely hear Myles showing off a bi of unnecessary vocals. He does the same thing in come to life and White Knuckles during the bridge. I never hear people talk about these parts, but I always pay extra attention to those parts of the songs because I love that

Yeah also behind the solo in Buried Alive too!

Re: Noticing The Little Things (On All Albums)
myles's high pitch backing vocals just before the chorus of Lover
Re: Noticing The Little Things (On All Albums)
I don't really like the song all too much, but on Coming Home during the last chorus the "So I'm coming home" sounds different, production wise. I don't really know how to describe it, but its perfectly done.
Re: Noticing The Little Things (On All Albums)
There's this bit on Blackbird, I dunno if anyone else has ever heard it. But right after Myles sings "Someday I too will fly and find you again" and before Mark's solo, if you listen really carefully you can hear Myles play a guitar solo.

The little 'ooooooooooh' at the end of Shed My Skin. Only noticed it in the last couple of years.
