So after seeing this thread, and admittedly not being on the AB official website for a long time, I had no idea this box set was even being released until now. That all being said, understanding the fanaticism (which the word 'fan' is short for) with AB, I don't understand the negative feelings and anger towards what in essence is really a very positive band, who loves their fans and would not try to screw them over in any capacity. They do that, how can they expect to continue to make money off of this? There is a business aspect to all of this. Timing in this industry is everything. Yes, there should have been some sort of announcement, but I'm not gonna blast them because, in all honesty, with all the work the band has to do in preparation for the release of this album and the fact that they're doing (and paying for) everything themselves, I can understand a lapse in the chain of command, so to speak. Maybe I'm off-base bc I'm only just finding out about this over the last few days, but those who are angry about these delays need to just take a step back and realize it ain't the end of the world.

I'm glad Dan provided the clarification that he was specifically told not to issue an official statement. That changes a lot, in my mind. It's very easy for us to place blame based on the limited information we have. This business is so complex, it could be anyone's fault. It is still weird that DC3 or the band never made a statement about what happened, but at least we now understand why.

The news about the Addicted to Pain video is very exciting!

Well, as far as we know Myles and Mark are still in Europe, so it's can't be just a performance video.

Except if they're going home today.

They were in europe for a 10 day promo trip, the started saturday 10 August, add 10 days and you get 19th, which was yesterday. They flew back over night/morning.. should be back in the USA somewhere today..

Recording of the video is scheduled for wednesday and thursday. Which checks out with DC flying out to Orlando on tuesday and M&M hitting stateside on tuesday as well.

One interesting blight about your post. Uhhh, they're not coming back to Orlando today unless they catch a late flight.

I guess my sources were mistaking. Lol. Guess they're flying over this night to land in USA in the morning, guess that's the perks of flying in the western direction. One doesn't loose thatuch time on the clock

I can seen DC3's frustration, but when the clock expired, instead of silence, saying something simple and unofficial like ""Sorry guys, change of plans, bare with us" would have defused a lot of the venom (and my update in the grammar thread, too )

Whatever, I'm not mad as much as it's just not great business. But I'll get this if/when it is released. If they want to package it with Fortress, I'll even wait an extra week in the US for it.

see there is a new dedicated website from DC3(thats doing nothing) tried to login but nothing happens?(nothing new there then) has any body had any luck login into this website and nearly six months on Whats in the box ? Anyone know?

Agreed. We didn't need an official press release. Even a tweet acknowledging the misstep would have been much appreciated. Ah well, at least he's coming forward with some information now.
