Stone is a great song. Cantrell is a beast on guitar. It's going to be hard to top Black Gives Way to Blue which I thought was a great album (My favorite overall for 2009). We'll see tho. Can't wait to here The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here in full.

So far what Ive heard from the new album.. Hollow>Phantom Limb>Stone... Nothing better than anything on Black Gives Way To Blue... Hope there are better songs on the album.

Going back to the songs we've heard on the new album, been meaning to say what I've thought about them for a while, but I keep on forgetting.

I think what we've heard so far completely blows Black Gives Way To Blue out of the water, I thought BGWTB was a pretty good album before hearing these songs, but these songs really put that album to shame. If I listen to it now, it seems so bland, lifeless and dull in comparison to Stone, Hollow and Phantom Limb. Hollow is a cool song, very similar to most of BGWTB, it's my least favourite of the 3, but its still better than a lot of BGWTB, and much more memorable. I've only listened to Phantom Limb a few times, so I can't really comment, but it seems really good. Stone is where it's at, I think it's a really good song, the melody and harmonies remind me of Grind, and the drum and bass work reminds me God Am, the band really click on this song, works really well. It has a lot more personality and attitude than anything on BGWTB, I don't dislike BGWTB, but after hearing these 3 new songs, I really don't care about it that much. I've got high hopes for the new album.

Does it bother anyone else that they cover the new singers voice with harmonies all the time? It makes the vocals really quite boring. It's a shame as well because the new songs sound great otherwise.

I kind of agree with you, Crumbso. That was one of my only (small) complaints about BGWTB.

Local music reporter says they'll be on Rockstar Uproar Tour. Consider unconfirmed but for what it's worth, dates: http://www.rockstaruproar.com/

Sp I saw AIC on Friday and it was great , love the 2 new songs "Hollow and Stoned". Inezs bass is out of control live . Its the loudest and most thunderous i've ever heard. The rest of the band was on -point and the setlist was full of favorites.
Check this out...
As we are waiting for AIC to come on I hear the start of "SLIP to THE VOID" loud as hell over the house PA in front of 10,000 fans. Then I shit you not they play "ZERO" right after SLIP and after Zero AIC comes out.
That was pretty damn cool.

Wow, a little Alter Bridge promo for an extra treat! I should be able to see AiC a couple of times this summer, glad to hear they were great live. I never saw them the first go 'round but I'll be excited to hear some of these new songs which are alread among my favorites of theirs.

Saw them this weekend and as you said they are fantastic live. I thought everything from old to brand new material blended well too.

Heard the leak of the new album too. It's definitely sounding good, but I think it's going to take a few listens for me to fully get into it. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, as I've considered AiC one of my favorite bands throughout the course of my life - and the fact that I absolutely fell in love with "Black Gives Way To Blue". Time will tell...
