They are playing slower than before because Scott started playing to a click track.
Nagpo, have you ever seen Alter Bridge live? I recognized some of your praises and complaints in their live show.

Man, a friend of mine is coming from Brazil to that show. Please don't miss it.anguyen92 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 11:01 amI need to go? Man, I'm sure it's going to be great performance and production, and all, and if the SoCal show was in say Hollywood Bowl with a 3 band bill rather than a festival, I would go.nagpo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 6:19 am Guys I don't really have a lot of time to post about it this morning, I can say more when i get home from work. BUT I will say that this was a 9/10 show. WAY better than when I saw them in like 2010 0r 11, whatever year it was. It's MASSIVE energy. You need to go.
But, it's a festival. It will be a 75 minute drive east, in extremely warm California weather in those regions. There's 7 bands on the bill before Creed comes on stage and people, from prior experiences being at the venue, say the parking lot in that venue sucks and you are still there for hours after the show is over and I also got to drive 75 minutes back. I can't do it. Not really worth the headache of time wasted while Creed isn't playing.
I was actually in a similar spot when I saw AB in Highland, CA at a casino where it did took a good while for me to get out of the parking lot (since that was around the time everyone in the casino was getting out as well) and I was like, "Well, I'm not going to a show here for a good long while."

Well, if anyone wants to suggest where I can park in and out easily nearby Glen Helen Amphitheater, I'm open to suggestions. Otherwise, I don't think I can get the most enjoyment I can with these variables in front of me for a concert event. It's really not going to be the end of the world for me if I miss this leg or ever.
50% of my concert enjoyment is really whether the parking or getting there and leaving the venue was smooth for me. Bad parking experience can really kill the enjoyment of a show (i.e. me seeing Foo Fighters at the Forum in 2021 and it took 90 minutes to get out of the lot).
At the end of the day, I'll give this ticket I got to someone else one way or another, and whoever gets it is going to get a lot more enjoyment out of it than I will and a bigger Creed fan than I am (which I don't claim to be as big as a fan as most people here).

Alternatively, you could hang around the venue and try your luck with meeting any of the performers that might be hanging around. Just a thought. I'm not trying to convince you to go if you really don't want to.anguyen92 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 11:38 pm Well, if anyone wants to suggest where I can park in and out easily nearby Glen Helen Amphitheater, I'm open to suggestions. Otherwise, I'm not going to driving very far and be miffed at the parking experience. I looked on the map. I am obviously not familiar with California or this venue, BUT, if you are not averse to walking - the next exit south of the Glen Helen Amphitheater is near Nealys Corner and connects to Glen Helen Parkway. I'd see if any of the gas stations or restaurants there would let you park (offer concert parking).anguyen92 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 11:38 pm Well, if anyone wants to suggest where I can park in and out easily nearby Glen Helen Amphitheater, I'm open to suggestions. I waited 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot after the concert I went to and had a 40 minute drive to my hotel. For me it was worth it. The venue looks really nice and I'd love for you to get to see Creed. I strongly agree with nagpo - see them if you have the chance.

Re: Summer 2024 Tour and Summer of '99 and Beyond festival
Yeah when I went to the merch store I saw a Time t-shirt and bought it cause it looked cool. I thought they would be playing it. But it was only Overcome. I think Full Circle has a handful of good songs and I would like to hear them more. Overcome, bread of shame, time, suddenly, on my sleeve, and a thousand faces. I'm glad they dropped Rain but would have preferred they replaced it with one of these.
On a separate note, I've been to two creed concerts. One back in maybe 2010 or 11. And this one. This one was 10x better.

does anyone know who is funding this tour?

I believe Live Nation is the promoter if that's what you are inquiring about.

I'd really like them to play Time but in its original tuning, not a step down like back in 2012. Bread of Shame was played 3 times and On My Sleeve was NEVER played live. The same goes for The Song You Sing and Good Fight. They should learn how to shuffle their setlist a little with Pearl Jam. The concert you've been happened in 2010, 2011 was AB III (which began in 2010) tour and Scott solo.nagpo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 6:18 pmYeah when I went to the merch store I saw a Time t-shirt and bought it cause it looked cool. i found this on youtube of the show i went to and i think it backs up some of my points. but i will say mark sounds better in this video than he did when i was there and i don't know why. I was on marks side so i thought i would be hearing his guitar more clearly? but it's actually really good in the video.

It could be a balance issue when factoring other instruments trying to nab that space. Could be how your ears are conditioned when handling louder noise and frequencies.
I will say when I saw AB in Raleigh, NC in 2019 and I was on the rail on Mark's side, I had a much more better appreciation for him when it came to the more little details of his guitar playing. The downside was that I couldn't hear Myles' guitar at all, except when he was doing his solos, but that has nothing to do with the point I want to emphasize.

Falling in Reverse Singer Ronnie Radke is mocking Scott Stapp for no particular reason. Other bands starting up a beef with Creed, seems like the guys are so damn back lol
