Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
I just won free tickets to see Glenn Hughes in September. No idea if I will actually go or not, but this is interesting nonetheless.

At the Waukesha County Fair in Waukesha, Wisconsin for Daughtry. This is my first concert that I will be at without at least one of my parents present.

I did! I met up with my Platteville best friend Dylan and his girlfriend. It was the first time that I had seen him since last December. Daughtry put on a great show, and I am so happy to have checked off another bucket list live song, that being their cover of Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) by Journey.Schulzy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 3:05 pmHope you enjoyed it! Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
I mean some bands really are a collaboration.
Creed is Stapp plus Tremonti. Tremonti does a lot of the songwriting but even Stapp at times wrote lyrics and vocal melodies (not sure how much he contributed guitar or piano wise). Stapp's the singer.
Fuel is Carl Bells songwriting plus Brett's singing. Brett has some songwriting credits but not very many.
Headstrong by Trapt is Chris Taylor Brown's vocals plus Simon Omandys guitar playing. Along with Chris coming up with the vocal melody plus lyrics. Avelyn by Trapt is all by Chris I believe. Same with These Walls I think.

Bro just discovered that there is more than just one person in a band and they can do different things.

I tried to make a post when I was at the venue, but I had no service. Anyway, I just got back from the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, where I saw A Day To Remember. That was the wildest concert that I have ever been to.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
Speaking of 4, I turned 45 today (well, yesterday, as of 26 minutes ago). It's a kinda strange feeling, realizing that my 30th birthday (which was a fun-filled adventure with some friends of mine that feels like it was just a few years ago) was a third of my life ago. I know 45 really isn't "old" by any stretch, but I can see where mid-life crises come from. Even if I live to be 90 (which probably isn't likely, but who knows), I'm at the top of the mountain about to begin my descent. I'm as far away from 65 as I am from 25. It's kind of scary. Someone hold me...

Easy there zaz! ......I'm right behind you Tenacious - 42 this year. I still mentally feel much the same as 21, but my body started fighting me at 35. Do you have those "old man aches" like I do?zazthespaz wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 2:59 pmCongratulations on navigating the internet in your advanced age! & happy birthday!TenaciousBe wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 1:31 am Speaking of 4, I turned 45 today (well, yesterday, as of 26 minutes ago). You know, I've had them off and on for a while now. And I know what I need to do to kick 'em - I've posted in the Fitness thread many times about doing DDPYoga on and off over the years. I never feel better than when I'm consistently hitting those workouts, but then life comes along and has a way of making you too busy, or too tired, or too mentally drained, or too whatever to bring yourself to roll out the mat and just do it for 30-40 minutes. School will be starting up in a couple weeks here for my two girls, maybe having that routine will help me get back on it! Or really any kind of physical activity, but the DDPY has always been my favorite as I don't have to fight the weather or devote time to traveling to a place or what have you.Schulzy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 9:06 pmEasy there zaz! ......I'm right behind you Tenacious - 42 this year. Now 5 more years until the golden birthday of my discovery of Alter Bridge.
Apparently, I had the date wrong all these years. It actually was August 5, 2019, so 5 years ago today.
Happy golden birthday to my discovery of my longtime favorite band!
