All right, I'm back from the TSO concert. Like most great things in life, I didn't think when people said their stage show and musicianship is something to behold, I thought "it can't be that great." What a bloody great show. It's everything you want in a high-budget, high-produced show that involves a lot of vocalists and top-notch musicians. I won't bore you guys with a long trip report post. All I can say is that I feel like I underpaid for that show. I paid $50.00 on Groupon for the ticket when you could have bought the same ticket on Ticketmaster for around $80.00. I would have paid $80.00 for that seat in the 200 section, it was a really great view. Great show. Great visuals. I feel like everyone should try to see them at least once in their lifetimes around the November/December period.

Heck, if they come back to Ontario, next year, I'd go again. Probably take my family as well and cover their tickets.

I went with the Sushi Bar where the plates cost $2.50 a plate and they gave you 3-4 pieces per plate. It was all right. Some of the rolls were really filling, some were so-so. I probably should I have gone with the buffet instead. I would have gotten dessert.

Boy, 2019 hasn't even started yet, and I've already bought tickets for four shows. Heck, that's not even counting the potential Groupon deals or some sort of $25 seat deals for possible Summer Amphitheater shows I like. Tremonti has yet to hit LA, so if they are doing a show around May in LA, I'm definitely going. Fun times all around.

Chris Cornell Tribute show in January
Within Temptation in March
Switchfoot in April
Iron Maiden in September

I can't stop buying concert tickets. I saw that Ticketmaster priced the Disturbed and Three Days Grace show at the Forum for about $40.00 (fees included) for seats in the 200s row 18 and higher. I can't pass up on that. Five shows booked in 2019 before the year stated. I went to five shows in 2018. I may add Nothing More in February as well, depending on my schedule, and if I liked their other albums prior to "The Stories We Tell Ourselves."

For those that seen Nothing More, how is their live shows?

They’re one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen, no joke. Seen them twice so far. Would love to see a headlining show some day.

All right, I'm considering pulling the trigger on buying the Nothing More tickets, but the only thing that would stop me is the parking near the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. I'm so confused on where to find the best parking spot at a decent rate for around 7 hours or so. I hate parking in Downtown Los Angeles as well.

Between this and not seeing mods around lately, I almost thought someone didn't pay the web hosting bill and the site was just done. Hahaha.

Okay guys, so I need your help with something. My wife and I have been watching a lot of Home: Adventures With Tip & Oh on Netflix recently, because it's something our 1.5 year old daughter enjoys watching (and it's a pretty entertaining show actually), and something ran through my mind tonight at work about it and I'm sort of stuck on it. Specifically, in the theme song. First, listen to the melody when they sing the word "Home" in the theme song (around 13 seconds):

It seemed so familar... then it hit me. Phillip Phillips. (It should be etched into your brain by now with how much this song has been overused in advertising, but the post-chorus oohs at 1:18)

Is that not the same melody?! And since both are called Home, it made me wonder if the Phillips song was written for the movie somehow and I never knew it (I've never actually seen the original movie, just this cartoon follow-up show on the netflix), or if the theme song to the show is some kind of homage to the Phillips song, or... what? I'm having a hard time finding writing credits for the show's theme song, just the voice actors who sing in it. This is bothering me.

Or for zaz. I mean, just look above.

Hmm, not sure how you got to that association without first wondering how a title like "Adventures of Tip and Oh" was remotely appropriate for children. Or teenagers. Especially teenagers.

But the melody in the lyric "Home" does strike me as very familiar, but not for the Phillips song. There's definitely something there. It'll come to me while I'm watching TV sometime in the next week and I'll report back.
