Re: What are you listening to right now?
All right. I got one more new album that I can listen to for today.
Paul McCartney's Egypt Station album. The 30th album released in 2018 that I have listened to. Old Man McCartney is still making music in his late 70s. Honestly, with the career that he's had, people shouldn't be expecting greatness at this point, but they should expect that McCartney is at that age where he can do whatever he wants with his music and enjoy making it.
Take Fuh You, for instance. People have interpret the pronunciation in two different ways and one of them is pretty darn raunchy for McCartney, but whatever I enjoy it and I hope I enjoy this album.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
How did you like it? I listened to a few songs (besides the pre released songs) and it seems like there are a few really cool songs on this album. Also a few duds, but at least this albums seems to be a lot better than Drones, which isn't really an accomplishment, but still..anguyen92 wrote:Muse's Simulation Theory album. The 29th album released in 2018 that I have listened to. I'm getting this feeling based on the songs that has been out and the videos being shown that Muse really wants to go all out 80s electronic/pop music vibe for this one. Let's see if it works out for them. I really did enjoy some of those music videos though.
Just wish it came out a few years earlier, because the 80's synth pop thing is getting old.

I mean there was a couple of decent songs, but there wasn't really a lot of songs I'm too eager to relisten to again in the near future. I did listen to the Super Deluxe Edition and enjoyed the version of Pressure that featured the UCLA Marching band.

All right, three weeks to go until the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It's time to binge on the material. Let's get cracking.

We're gonna need some more amps.
Imagine TSO and Avantasia collaborating on something.

Kamelot and Sonata Arctica are playing a show here in Sept 2019. I can't remember if I've ever bought a ticket for a show that's 10 months away before. Hope I live that long...Lotha wrote:Yaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssgbruin wrote:Kamelot - The Haunting

The first new Queensrÿche single was released today!!
Queensrÿche: Man The Machine
Love love love this band. Sadly perfect lyrics for today, too.

Warrel Dane - Disconnection System
This is from his posthumous solo album Shadow Work. Warrel was working on this, his second solo album following his amazing career in Sanctuary and Nevermore, when he suddenly passed away one year and 4 days ago. The band and his family finished the album and released it as a final tribute to this incredibly gifted and complicated and troubled soul. It is a bittersweet and beautiful and powerful work and is a fitting coda for an amazing musician who left us too soon. RIP, Wally.

Architects - The Seventh Circle
Very short song, but that intro riff sounds so much like Gojira.

Damn it, I kinda hate you now. Except I couldn't bear to see Kamelot without Roy Khan, but them and Sonata are my top 3 favorite metal bands. It's gonna be a great show for sure.gbruin wrote:Kamelot and Sonata Arctica are playing a show here in Sept 2019. I've been doing a bit of digging into Ashes Of Ares. The band fronted by former Iced Earth singer Matt Barlow. Cool stuff!
