Disturbed's Evolution album. The 24th album released in 2018 that I have listened to. The two main modern rock stations on Sirius XM (Octane and Turbo) have really done all they can to promote this album in the build-up. Let's see if it is worth this hubbub. Immortalized was all right as a comeback album for them. Let's see if the follow-up can be stronger. Listening to the deluxe edition on Spotify which has the live version of The Sound of Silence that features Myles.
Edit: Let's keep this new album train going. Amaranthe's Helix album. The 25th album released in 2018 that I have listened to. I don't know how I end up listening to this album, but here we are.

Northward's Self-titled album. The 26th album released in 2018 that I have listened to.
So Northward is this project that Nightwish's Floor Jansen is singing in and this is more in the veins of a modern hard rock sound as oppose to the Symphonic Metal sound that's she's more known for. I've heard the first two singles that came at prior to this and I like them both pretty well, so this should be right up my alley to enjoy.

Flyleaf - All Around Me
Man, I need to listen to some more Flyleaf. Lacey Sturm has a great voice based on what I hear from her album, Life Screams, the Flyleaf songs I hear on SiriusXM Turbo, and that song she did with Skillet, Breaking Free.

Memento Mori was a big album for me, easily my favorite one she’s been a part of. Check out Arise, Break Your Knees (Bonus Track), Chasm, and Againanguyen92 wrote:Flyleaf - All Around Me

Thanks for the sig Don Harry!
Re: What are you listening to right now?
Memento Mori is my favorite Flyleaf record too. I think most fans prefer the debut, but I’ve always had more of an attachment to Memento Mori.

Sure, let's go with that. . I'll eventually listen to the Flyleaf discography at some point this weekend.

Poets of the Fall's Ultraviolet album. The 27th album released in 2018 that I have listened to.
New Poets of the Fall album being announced is enough for me to give it a listen.

Nothing More - Fadein/Fadeout
Jim's little brother, Tom, paid me a visit recently (see how that works, zaz?!?) on his U.S. tour and turned me on to Nothing More. Very cool band with a real Karnivool vibe to them. Good stuff.

You’re just now hearing Nothing More? Damn, Greggers. One of the better up and coming rock bands.gbruin wrote:Nothing More - Fadein/Fadeout

Hey, I'm just happy I got in on the first 15 year period of the band - lol. I'd actually heard of them but never really had a serious listen. Better late than never at least. That song in particular is really hard hitting, especially for things around my house right now.AB4Lyfe wrote:You’re just now hearing Nothing More? Damn, Greggers. Trivium - The Sin and the Sentence (full album)
In my mind, this was the best rock/metal album of 2017. Trivium made a hell of a comeback.
Edit: Thrown Into the Fire is my favorite from the album if someone needs an example.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Well, got some free time away from things that I do not want to do right now. Might as well check out some albums in 2018 that I have not yet listened to. Let's start with this one.
Alice in Chains' Rainier Fog album. The 28th album released in 2018 that I have listened to. I did like Black Gives Way to Blue, but really did not like The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here. I hope this album leans more on the former.

Muse's Simulation Theory album. The 29th album released in 2018 that I have listened to. I'm getting this feeling based on the songs that has been out and the videos being shown that Muse really wants to go all out 80s electronic/pop music vibe for this one. Let's see if it works out for them. I really did enjoy some of those music videos though.
