In the last year, Alter Bridge have played Words Darker than their Wings live, Myles has released a solo album and now England have won on penalties. Weird stuff is happening.

Does anyone listen to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They're a band out there that doesnt have a bass player. They are most known for the song "Maps".

So I was about to buy something off of Pollstar. A tour history of a band where it includes about 300+ shows on how well-attended and how much revenue these shows make. For $25.00, I was about to pull the trigger, but wait, they wouldn't let me since I have to buy $125.00 of tour history credit before I can obtain a $25.00 tour history. Screw that, if I have to go through that much suffering to get some information, it's just not that worthwhile to me. Sounds quite shady to me.

It's definitely not coming from his mom

My family and I are likely travelling to France in a couple weeks and my 16 year old son was trying really hard to get us to work the travel arrangements so we could see Tremonti and Maiden while we're in Europe.

I am raising this kid so right.

Although, he's pretty crappy at Fortnite, which is wrong on a number of levels.

Idiocracy was not a satire. It was a prophecy.

lol True. It may be the final straw in the demise of society as we know it.

Some of my students like to try playing Fortnite on their phones while I lecture. I usually tell them if I can’t play then they can’t play...which starts a room full of “well we can stop early and let you play Fortnite too” comments lol.

True. Learning to speak womanish is a critical but nearly impossible language skill.

Maybe I'm still scarred.

Man, when I was in high school, New Wave was all the rage. Most of my school was listening to Duran Duran and Depeche Mode and Spandau Ballet and Wham! etc..., and those that weren't were listening to legit Soul/R&B/Dance stuff like Prince or MJ or The Jets. The only handful of people listening to rock were me and the stoners, and since I didn't hang out by the smoking tree with the near-dropouts, I was on a musical island and took daily grief from my friends for loving Van Halen and Priest and Maiden and AC/DC and Queensryche and Def Lep and Journey and on and on.

I mention Def Leppard and Journey specifically because they are touring together this summer and they played at the baseball stadium here in Denver tonight in front of 35-40K. Normally I'd be all over a show like that but good tickets were running $300+ and I'm working overnight tonight anyway so I decided to sit this one out. But tonight my FB feed is crammed with probably 15-20 different friends who are there and they're all posting pictures of themselves throwing horns and hanging their tongues out and generally looking like fools and commenting "Don't Stop Believin'! and "Rock Of Ages!". The same people who mocked me for years for loving these bands are falling over themselves trying to look cool at their concerts now.

Where's your Duran Duran tonight, you freaking posers?

I told you so.

Man, I'm looking back at some of the posts I made in this thread in 2014. I felt like that was my peak back then. It helps that lots of things were happening (Kings winning the cup again, me going back to Cal Poly Pomona, Gurthie, etc.).

What happened to me? I felt like I haven't hit that sense of greatness anymore since then.

Edit: I also realized that I discovered the fact that One Drew Remains was also named Andrew on two different occasions in 2014 and I didn't realized it during the second time.

This took place in March 2014.

Yeah, sure. This also means that we got to go with the fact that there is four Andrews in this friken forum. At least, we all settled with nicknames nicely except AHart. He somehow kept retained Andrew while the other three older posters have nicknames.
This took place in September 2014.

Son of a...., so there's four Andrews in this forum? Crickey. All right, I'll be Kevin in this forum, but when I go to the AB Wiltern show and I see someone, I recognize in this forum, I want to be Andrew.

Kev, you crazy!

I started the keto diet this week - minimal carbs (<20). They say you're supposed to feel like you have a cold/the flu the first week, but I haven't felt like that and have lost 1 lb since Monday. Not sure if that's average or not so I could be doing something wrong. (not that I did proper homework on the subject...)

Edit: FOOK I DIDN'T POST FOR ALMOST A MONTH?!?! Why didn't anyone tell me!?

Cam, we called that keto flu. It is really common when your body is in the process of entering a ketogenic state and when it isn’t used to the diet.

1-2 lbs a week lost is average, and sustainable weight loss.

I’ve done ketosis before, and I’m a Personal Trainer. If you have questions, feel free to DM!
