Black Stone Cherry's Family Tree album. The 9th album released in 2018 that I have listened to.
So it's been two years since they released Kentucky, and Kentucky was a great album from start to finish. I wasn't feeling some of the songs that they released so far from Family Tree (although Dancin' in The Rain featuring Warren Haynes of Gov't Mule was a winner), but hopefully, the rest of the album is enjoyable.

Listening to the new A Perfect Circle album, Eat the Elephant. This is the first I've given these guys a chance, a buddy at work told me this album is a masterpiece so lets see if it lives up the the hype!
Thanks Timo!

Re: What are you listening to right now?
So I got a new van the other day, and since I only have a single CD player in this one vs. the 6-disc changer from my old car, I had to pick out one CD to rock in the car (still no aux input.. sigh). So far, I'm still just rolling with Foo Fighters' Concrete and Gold. Quite possibly my favorite album to come out last year, just awesome from beginning to end.
I feel like I should be listening to the Myles album more than I have, but I don't have it on CD yet (just vinyl and digital) and most of my music listening happens in the car. Gotta get that CD soon.

Tremonti - Brains.
Man, All I Was was such a good album. Hard to believe Mark's about to release his 4th solo album, and Alter Bridge has only put out 5.

Stumbled upon the new music video for this song.
Nothing More - Just Say When
Pretty powerful stuff. I should check out their latest album. I hear great things about it and I heard that Nothing More took a big step forward in making their presence felt in the mainstream rock world in 2017.

Dude is a machine! I listened to All I Was a couple weeks ago while I was shoveling, cause I needed some angry music to shovel to. Forgot how damn good that album is, top to bottom!gbruin wrote:Tremonti - Brains.

Also, I did finally get Myles' album on CD for my van over the weekend. Now that I'm really finally getting to take it in, in good sound quality... wow. Just, wow. So good!

Shinedown's Attention Attention album. The 11th album released in 2018 that I have listened to.
There's some good irony to me regarding that title, because Shinedown hasn't really gotten my attention regarding the hype for their new album. I'm just not pumped for it like I would with new albums from Breaking Benjamin or BSC or Myles or the upcoming Tremonti, Slash, Halestorm, Sevendust, etc. albums. The point is, man, I don't know if it is me, but I'm just not excited for a new Shinedown album at the moment, and that frustrates me on a lot of levels when it comes to Shinedown, but I'll listen to it now and hope for the best.
Edit: On Spotify, all of their titles of the songs in the album, except one song, is in caps. Jebus.

Queensrÿche - Eyes Of A Stranger
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the release of Operation: Mindcrime, the greatest concept album of all time. It is an absolutely brilliant story, narrative, and musical performance.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I've been sort of burnt out on Shinedown since Sound of Madness. That was the last album of theirs that I really listened to. Everything since then, I don't know if they changed or if I did, but it just hasn't grabbed me. Maybe I'll have to give this one a listen and see how it is.anguyen92 wrote:Shinedown's Attention Attention album. The 11th album released in 2018 that I have listened to.

I won't go into details since they will be poorly worded, but I just don't like it. I hate it.
