I like stuff like that happening, better than just the usual main line of a chorus being the title every time. Last of Our Kind in particular is way better, particularly when you know the ant story!

A Dying Machine sounds like a Fear Factory album title, and the album cover is also a perfect fit for that band.
I guess Mark will talk about artificial intelligence, robots, and the end of the human race.

Honestly it still bugs me how the album title is in a basic font just all capitals. If they put it underneath TREMONTI like they usually do with the same font that TREMONTI is in, it would look much better, IMO. :shrug This almost just looks like it's fan-made :/

Hmmm... It's different. Does look like it could be fan made but this same design has popped up twice now... I think the only thing that bugs me is the placement of "A Dying Machine". Couldn't it have been centered a little more? Still excited as all hell to hear a blistering riff right out of the gate on track 1...

Not a fan of the metallic texture on the band name, and it's a bit... sparse. Quite like the vertical text though.

I actually like the band logo like that. But I do feel as though this is fan art, not the real cover.

I don't think that this cover is fan art. Nervegas is an official distributor. And the items have already realistic catalogue numbers and barcodes. Let's see what time brings :)

Just read that Mark's revealed "A Dying Machine" is his first concept album and a fictional novel will be released alongside the album... :eek

Damn this just made me so hyped! :eek

I don't even read that much (depends on the genre or the universe that the novel is set in :lol ) But I know I'm reading a novel that Mark had something to do with for sure! :lol

I kind of wish he wrote the novel himself though :/ :lol

HOLY CRAP. I'd say I "called it" that this might be a concept album, but I never would have guessed it would be to the extent that it had a novel to go with it! Wow this is interesting.

I'll read a Stephen King book every now and then (home state pride!) or a rock bio/autobio. But I'm definitely picking this up and reading it cover to cover as I listen!

I'm writing a book right now and I can tell you from first hand experience that it is not an easy feat. Not only is it really time consuming but the actual art of story telling, and the skill, is not something you're going to automatically be good at with your first work. Tremonti probably recognizes this and just figured it'd make more sense to have someone who is already good at these things to assist him in telling his ideas. Tremonti is an artist that is obviously not above collaborations in the first place.

I'll be checking this out in June as well.

I've got a feeling that Mark will partner up with a magazine (perhaps Kerrang in the UK?) and the book will be offered for free with an issue. I could be imagining this but I'm sure Corey Taylor did something similar with one of his books.

Apparently once the lyric page for A Dying Machine is filled in, we'll hear "THE" announcement... A tracklist? Confirmation on the artwork? Something! Anything!
