Wasn't Cauterize dealing with a similiar topic? Not the lawnmower thing, but with politics and great leaders/dictators.
Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine
I do know that Cauterize and Dust had a thematic relationship (you can tell that with the artwork). Not sure exactly what all of the symbolism was supposed to mean but the imagery of cauterizing a wound and eventually turning to dust does give the impression of moving past an old order.

Aww thanks, Duane! You're welcome They're kind of just spread all throughout the thread, though, so I wish there was a way to make it more organized/in one placeAB4Lyfe wrote:Never change, Shea. We appreciate the updates!

Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, knowing that full on Tremonti shred is going on somewhere.

I really hope that the new album will have more heavy songs like Wish You Well and Brains.

Gah they could at least give us a bit more of the name column for some creative speculation.

I don’t have the slightest clue on how to read these boards, and I’ve been here for six years. I know an x-ed out box means completed, but what do the initials by them mean?

808 is any noises programmed in (synths, stings, effects, etc).Dolo wrote:Any idea what does this '808' stand for?

It's a drum machine. You can get a lot of unique sounds out of them, so they don't use it to replace drums or anything. Probably just some subtle overlays, but I've seen the 808 on the white board for past albums too. I think it's what Elvis uses to get sounds like the synth at the beginning of Slip to the Void.

As far as I know, Mark and Eric quad track their rhythm parts. Quad = 4, and they use 1/4th increments of 'X' to indicate the recording process of a specific song. I don't know for sure though.

I find it kind of cool how when you try to type in a random code on the lyric puzzle, it gives you a message under the code box and the song title gets distorted I cant screencap the distorted title because the animation is too fast though
