Fallout - Probably my favorite MF4 song
Can you imagine if Myles sounds like this on his solo album!?!?!

Walk the Moon - One Foot
I can't help it. This track is pretty catchy. I'll probably listen to their new album at some point this week.

Walk the Moon's What If Nothing album. The 38th album released in 2017 that I have listened to. I've heard two tracks from these guys. One that's very overplayed and one that I find catchy. I'm going to hear an album from them and see what happens.

That 12/31-Fallout-Big Verb run is pretty much my musical heaven. Also love that his producer made him run up and down stairs before recording itgbruin wrote:Fallout - Probably my favorite MF4 song

Matt Guillory - Inside
I like this track a lot. The guy who wrote and sang it is the keyboardist and main songwriter of James Labrie (Dream Theater) solo band.

Iron Maiden - Paschendale
I keep seeing a lot of people that loves Iron Maiden praise this song, but I'm like, "There's no way this song can live up to those expectations, which are highly lofty when it comes to Maiden," but it did. What a gem of a song and it came out in 2003 (about 15-20 years from their "classic" era).

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I am just shattered today.
This is the first Nevermore song I ever heard. A friend was playing it one night in the ER at Denver General and I was absolutely blown away. Nevermore was Queensrÿche on steroids and Warrel's vocals were unbelievable. The pain and emotion in Warrel's voice throughout this song, and especially in the final chorus (beginning about 5:32) is the most emotional singing I've probably ever heard, especially considering the topic of the song. He fought his demons through much of his career, but the music that he created, whether with Nevermore, Sanctuary, or his solo album, was always incredible.
R.I.P. Warrel Dane, and thank you for sharing your amazing gift of music. I will miss you and I will never forget you.

What did you think? I've gotten really into WTM over the last couple years. I like that they stepped a little out of their box on this new album, but I haven't really immersed myself in it yet (except for One Foot, cause that song is catchy as hell).anguyen92 wrote:Walk the Moon's What If Nothing album. Re: What are you listening to right now?
^^ I think, for the most part, it is an ok listen. I do concur that they stepped out of their box based on my perception of them. I do find it hard to recall songs on the top of my head that I would like to listen to over and over again, but maybe a random song from them on my non-hard rock playlist could change that perception on future listens.
One Foot is really catchy as hell. Has great repeat listening value.

Tane Cain (self titled, 1982)
She was the chick that sang Burnin in the Third Degree and Photoplay, which were featured in the club shootout in Terminator 1. Always loved those and saw Amazon had her only official album for download for six bones. If you like Pat Benetar or Joan Jett, you'll enjoy it.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Steve Aoki's remix of Linkin Park's the One More Light song.
Typically, I'm not a huge fan of EDM and dubstep in general and Steve Aoki's mix of this song is basically that, but I thought it was tastefully done. Aoki's also good friends with Linkin Park so I'm sure they trusted him to do the song justice and to do it well for Chester and I think he did just that.
