Owl City featuring Lindsey Stirling - Beautiful Times
I guess, in some sense, this would be a dream pairing for those that are familiar with either musician. It's a good cheery song (like most Owl City songs. Just filled good vibes in its music with some positive lyrics, some pretty bleak lyrics as well) with some pretty beautiful lyrics. I don't know why I would think they would meld better than they did with this song though.

Theory of a Deadman's Wake Up Call album. The 32nd album released in 2017 that I have listened to.
I heard a few singles from their new album. Some were all right. Rx (Medicate) was not that great to me (although I find the lyrics in that part humorous where they keep mentioning how everyone was getting high. Friends, family, priest, the police, etc.). It takes a one album listen to change my perception of a band so let's hear it.
Edit: Ehhhh, that Theory of a Deadman album went the way that Shinedown and Skillet did on their last album. Too much generic poppiness in their sound and most of the songs were not enjoyable or intriguing enough to me.
I don't mind some pop sounds in the music I hear. I mean Steven Wilson released his new album this year and that had poppy elements, but I liked it a good amount. The difference was that his songs was nicely crafted and most of them were enjoyable yet some were weird (Song of I and its music video was really weird and had a NIN-feel to it imo).
Going to go on an Owl City binge throughout the weekend. Let's start with this album.
Owl City's Ocean Eyes album.

Spoiler alert: it’s not their best. Some tracks stand out, some tracks are meh. This is coming from someone with Red in their top-5 favorite bands.anguyen92 wrote:Red's Gone album. The 33rd album released in 2017 that I have listened to. I have no further comments at the moment.

Yeah, honestly that's how I felt about this one. They started off pretty strongly to me and I thought this might have been a top five album of the year, but the latter half was not that great.

Owl City - Back Home
It's basically a modern-sounding country song, but I like it over a typical generic country song.
