All right, stream's over. Well, that was something. The usual good set. I do think this was one of the more livelier crowds they've had, even moreso than Rock AM Ring streams. Apparently, Myles was sick for the last few days which made sense since I was wondering why he wanted the crowd to sing along, moreso than usual. Sound was good. I was actually able to hear Brian's bass more clearly. Blackbird was the usual best thing of the stream. I do think that Mark's backing vocal game was not up to par than usual, I felt like he almost went into "angry Mark" mode a bit too much there.

Myles went to the front of the crowd a few times, in Metalingus and Rise Today, I think, during Metalingus, people were throwing underwear to him, and he let a fan sang a line in Metalingus (that guy really had a gruff voice). The security guard's game was good as well during that part making sure Myles didn't get mugged or something. Also, I think this was one of the better versions of Rise Today I've heard in some time now. Didn't feel as slow as usual. People were chanting "Alter Bridge' in between songs all night so that was a great sign and hopefully, they can come back to Brazil with their own headlining set like they did in Argentina. Here's the set.

Come To Life
Addicted to Pain
Cry of Achilles
My Champion
Waters Rising
Isolation
Blackbird
Open Your Eyes
Metalingus
Rise Today

As far as live streams go, this is one of the better ones. I rate it above all of the Rock AM Ring streams they've done, since they have been laced with a lot of terrible errors (presenters talking while they were playing, which means we had to miss a song, and this year's stream had both Mark and Myles' guitar muted for a good portion of the stream). I still say the Dallas HOB show was the best of the bunch mainly due to it feeling like a great AB show in their proper setting and that it was an actual headlining show. It felt like home.

Now then. The countdown is up now. 10 days to go before the Royal Albert Hall shows. Myles better be well by then. The band better be in great playing shape for this one.

I thought Mark was going to blow his voice out on WR. Holy cow!

Was able to rewatch this performance on YouTube. And my final thought is this:

Open Your Eyes needs to be played at rock festivals more and more. This is not necessarily a song for metalheads, but a more mainstream rock crowd will love it.

I really hope Myles recovers his voice by the time their shows at the Royal Albert Hall come about, you could tell he was struggling throughout the whole set..
Let this be an exercise in how to face your fears

That concert was intense, man.

I'll have a great memory of my first AB concert. As an old fan, knowing all the stages of Alter Bridge, that was a great experience.
When I saw the setlist, I was kind of disappointed but I decided to enjoy it at its fullest and as most intensive as Icould. They had a great response from the public too.

Rock in Rio is something really big here, so I think it gave a big exposure for the guys.

If I had to complain about anything, I would say Mark's guitar needs to be a litle bit lower over the solos, it's too much high.

Man, I loved it. :headbang

I hate to say it but I liked the sound of Rock in Rio more than Live at O2, in terms of mix.

Ya know, after rewatching the rock in rio stream, it seemed like the guys had so much fun playing. They seemed so lose and just enjoyed the incredible atmosphere. Something I enjoyed watching, they almost seemed like it was their first show in front of a huge crowd in terms of as "we made it". Just enjoyed how you could tell how happy they were

Can we talk about how cool it is that Alter Bridge opened with "The End is Here" in Edinburgh last night? I know someone mentioned it in the RAH thread but I feel this deserves more attention. I really hope this trend of mixing things up continues.

With all the crazy awesome stuff they're doing right now (Live at O2, RAH...), I didn't expect anymore surprises this late into their tour! Just having The End Is Here in the setlist at all is rare, let alone as an opener!

Perhaps they've been inspired by just how excited fans got about them doing something completely different like playing with a 52-piece orchestra at a world-famous concert hall next to Hyde Park that they will continue doing unusual things. That's my hope anyway! It's nice to see they put "In Loving Memory" back in the set as well.

That's definitely an exciting setlist. Usually I'd be a little bit disappointed by five ODR songs, but it's been a long time since I've seen the song One Day Remains live, and I don't think I've actually ever seen The End Is Here and In Loving Memory, so yeah, I could go without some of the songs they've usually played during the TLH tour in a week when they come to Hannover. The only thing I'm actually a bit disappointed about - although it's not unexpected - is that they don't continue to play Words. That's probably the song I want to hear live most desperately, but I guess they'll never play it again and it was a "two nights only" kind of thing... :/

I've always wanted Cry to open the encore. If we could just get Myles playing that acoustic intro on an actual acoustic on a stand, before backing off and slinging his electric around for when the band kicks in.

I've seen that in my head since like October '14.

Here is today's set in Dublin, Ireland.

For some reason, Farther Than the Sun opens up the set. Also, here's another blast from the past track. They played Burn it Down and have put In Loving Memory as the encore opener.

Burn It Down, nice...

Not necessarily the biggest fan of them bringing back old Blackbird staples into the set like BTC, I'd rather they bring the more rare Blackbird songs back. But the ODR songs they've been playing are awesome, keep that up! And also more deep AB3 cuts please.

Well, It's The Last Hero tour! :shifty

Someone change the set on setlist.fm. I see now The Last Hero on the encore.
Now they play Burn it Down.. Let's hope there will be more good surprises.
