Battle Of The Track Numbers: Track 02
Re: Battle Of The Track Numbers: Track 02
Isolation wins by a narrow margin for me. I really like all the other songs but feel it was the standout on ABIII.

Come to Life got my vote, but it was a tossup between that and ODR.
Re: Battle Of The Track Numbers: Track 02
Addicted to Pain, by the way TWOTW is growing on me a looooooooot lately

Will give Writing on the Wall mine, partly out of pity. Do love it though.

Don't do that! Just be honest and pick your favorite.

One Day Remains. It's one of my favorite songs by the band. That energetic riff, those two mini solos, and the uplifting lyrics. Love that song.
Come To Life is a close second but ODR is special.

That was honest. Not much to choose between it, Isolation and Addicted to Pain for my ears. It gets extra points for mentioning the perils of climate change more than the presidential debates did.AllC392Was wrote:Ubik wrote:Will give Writing on the Wall mine, partly out of pity. Do love it though.

One Day Remains is bottom, a song I've never really got along with.

Yep, my feelings exactly. I'm not gonna be voting for too many songs from the first album, but this one easily gets my vote. One of their most underrated songs by a mile.Arctic wrote:One Day Remains. ATP for me, though WOTW has been growing on me to the point that it comes a close second.

Er, Blackbird!?AllC392Was wrote:Isolation for me! Proves that you can have a bunch of solos in a song and be a #1 hit. Also this was Myles first main solo in a song.

I wanted to post the same, but solos in Blackbird are equally 'main'.The Plotblocker wrote:Er, Blackbird!?AllC392Was wrote:Isolation for me! Proves that you can have a bunch of solos in a song and be a #1 hit. Also this was Myles first main solo in a song.

yeah he had that blackbird solo but with Isolation was his first stand alone solo. Mark had some mini solos but Myles had the bulk of it.The Plotblocker wrote:Er, Blackbird!?AllC392Was wrote:Isolation for me! Proves that you can have a bunch of solos in a song and be a #1 hit. Yeah it still counts, and you contradicted yourself, in the same sentence. He can't have a stand alone solo and Mark have mini ones too. They both solo on both songs.

Clearly you guys aren't understanding what I'm trying to say so let me break it down for you
- Isolation was a single and a hit. (Blackbird wasn't)
I said the songs proves that you can have multiple solos in a song and still have a #1 hit
- Yes, Myles has that solo on Blackbird but its followed by Mark.
With isolation Myles had the main solo. He hadn't had that yet with Alter Bridge.

What actual proper full on number one in the Billboard sales chart, or just on one of the lesser, make certain genres feel better charts?AHart96 wrote:MuricaThe Plotblocker wrote:Where was Isolation a number 1 hit?AllC392Was wrote:Clearly you guys aren't understanding what I'm trying to say so let me break it down for you

But, the Hot what now chart?!? Is that even a thing anyone cares about? Unless they were actually number one it's pretty meaningless. Fuck it if any old charts count, I have had 3 number 1 songs myself. TBH I only care about Album sales these days. Singles are meaningless.
