Tremonti Live Album?

Post by luke62 »

Do you guys think there are enough songs to warrant a future live album?

We got "Live from Amsterdam" after two AB albums, with about 25 or so songs to choose from. By the time "Dust" is released, the total will be up to 32 songs to choose from. Now granted, there were the videos they recorded from "All I Was" back in the fall of 2014.

I think Fret12 did something with a show last tour in Manchester. It looked like Tremonti really stepped it up during that show. I think they could do it.

If they did film a show in Manchester, it's a good set.

Yes please ! Maybe combined with dvd ? This band is great live and really growing on me show by show. Wonder if a live recording can capture the great interaction with the audiance this band has.

I recall them asking fans to bring GoPro Cameras to the show. Not sure what they are going to do with it but if you watch videos of that show he really steps it up.

A live album or a Live From ____ DVD? I wasn't a huge fan of the 3 live tracks on Cauterize. They were ok but I had to have my speakers set to 11 and Mark's not quite to the point where he can sing live the way he records.

I think those livetracks for the BestBuy and FYE editions were rushed upon the discs for sales-purposes at the very last moment and not very well produced and recorded. An intentional full live album/box should have a far more better production. Mark's voice will nit have to be similar to the recorded cd-versions, that's rock & roll ! Let it be hard, unpolished and raw please ! Very curious how a well produced Tremonti live-recording would sound. Hope it captures the energy and crowdcontact I experienced during the gigs. Bring it on.

Heres my 2 cents of what they should do if they were to do a "Tremonti" DvD.

- Make it a Behind the scenes of the tour type of Dvd. Not so much what the ABboxset had some same concept.
- Have Tremonti do some acoustic sets behind the scenes. Just Tremonti and maybe the rest of the band.
- Bus life.
- What the crew has to do on a day to day basis.
- Of course some live songs but doesn't have to be from the same show. Pick out the best througout the tour.
-Soundchecks are fun to watch
- them in the studio
- add listening party AIW/Cauterize/Dust listening party footage (Ryan's suggestion)
SOooooo pretty much a boxset but just for a tour lol

The live tracks on the Best Buy and FYE albums were from the first live performances they did (we have the videos for YWYT and SYA, and now the rest minus Decay...and maybe one more song I forget right now...that you can buy from Fret12).

Also include the stuff they had the fans record and what they put together for the All I Was release and listening party that was supposed to be put together for a DVD...add that to the list above for a DVD/package release.

After hearing the new releases from Dust, I really hope this happens. Borrowing from above:

- "Behind the Scenes" like the "Story from the Road" videos they did. I'd like a "24 hours with" each guy to see their "routine" or anything like that.
- Interviews from the guys, maybe the people involved with the tour, recording process, etc. Maybe shed some more light on the different songs & their meanings.
- Soundchecks from different tour stops
- Backstage antics & warm-ups
- Best live edition of songs throughout the tour stops. Lots of dates, pick the best versions. This way, there's no pressure to "bring it" on a certain night.
- Acoustic set like the tutorial videos Mark does

Tremonti: Live from Europe

I'll preorder it right now! Seriously. Take my money. Now.

The problem is that Mark is his own worst enemy in this regard. Getting him to like his performance enough on X amount of songs is damn near impossible.

See: Live in Milan.

Oh wait, you can't. hahaha
