Yaaaaaas shea. Spencers vocals on this song give me a musical hard-on. This is a perfect song imo. First song i learned on my 8 stringSHEAKENBAKEN wrote:
I'm in love with Periphery right now, and this song in particular.

The new album listening thingamabob continues on with this album. I read a review from a guy that listens to hundreds of newly released albums a year at the Dream Theater Forums and he seems to really like it so here we are. There's some familiar guys that played a role in this album. One of them is someone we all know here from a certain band that's about to record hopefully by the end of the month.
Walking With Giants' World Unknown album. The 2nd album released in 2016 that I have listened to.

Austin! I agree Spencers vocals are awesome on the song! But the instrumentation is the main musical turn on for me! The riff that starts around 1:30 is neck breaking!austinjhnsn wrote:Yaaaaaas shea. @shea I just love how intricate their music is. I'm still finding little musical Easter eggs on juggernaut to this day. P3 is gonna be out this year and I'm fuckin puuuumped.

Not that they wouldn't be able to pull it off (on record), but nah.. I love them when they experiment and when they push themselves, but I have no need to hear them wank themselves off for an entire album.SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:@austin That as well! I wish AB was that intricate!

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I love a good wanking off and I think Periphery are good at what they do. But I'm just not interested in hearing AB doing the same thing.

I decided to listen to Halestorm's "Into the Wildlife" all the way through. I like it for the most part. "I Like it Heavy" is by far my favorite track. A lot of the album it is very over-produced though.

Listening to Walking With Giants "Worlds Unknown" after hearing AB and you guys talk about them. Thumbs up from me! Pretty straightforward hard rock album with a good vibe.

I concur. In fact, I'm listening to it again right now. It's got a sound and vibe that I really enjoy that I want in my active rock-like albums and the musicians on it are great.Nick_917 wrote:Listening to Walking With Giants "Worlds Unknown" after hearing AB and you guys talk about them. Yeah definitely. I don't know what it is but it simply feels good to listen to it. They didn't over-do it and I feel like I really heard the message they were trying to get across. And yes, you can't go wrong with those musicians! I'll have to go back and listen to their EP's as well.anguyen92 wrote:I concur. In fact, I'm listening to it again right now. Elbow - Fly Boy Blue / Lunette
"I'm reaching the age when decisions are made
On the life, and the liver, and I'm sure last ditch
That I'll ask for more time, but Mother forgive me,
I still want a bottle of good Irish whisky
And a bundle of smokes in my grave."
Guy Harvey's such a poet. Utterly beautiful.
