Album review by an AB fan: http://youtu.be/VZqzpPyk96s
More informative than most "professional" reviews.
(Matt does sing lead on the ballads on the album, Chris and Kent various backup on those; and I think it's all cello not violin on Ordinary. I've certainly learned to tell Matt and Chris apart but I may listen more than most folks :shifty )

Grrrr! The PA show is the one SMK&C show within 5hrs of me I'm not going too. :( bummer. I'm still going to see them with Hellyeah on 5/9, though, so I'll still get to see them.

Has Slash announced opening acts for everything? LAS still has openings in their schedule so I wonder if there will be more shows with Slash, Hellyeah, or on their own.

Nope. LAS on those few dates is the first I've heard about openers.

Hellyeah is opening for Godsmack on some dates, so I wonder if LAS will get added as the third band to some of those dates.

They have a free acoustic livestream show Saturday evening eastern U.S. time (Sunday morning European time?) - info on http://www.facebook.com/likeastormofficial/

Tickets listing them opening up for Steel Panther are going on sale soon though those dates aren't up on LAS sites yet https://www.facebook.com/likeastormoffi ... 6167614127 and there are some dates that don't make sense. http://www.ticketmaster.com/Like-a-Stor ... st/1554470

Listened the first time to a whole album of Like A Storm (Awaken The Fire). I gotta say they are kinda disappointing. The first three songs sound pretty cool. Their style is not bad, but with the song "Break Free" that album suddenly turned into a boring mainstream pop rock record. Soo, songs 4-7 are completely disposable, the following Six Feet Under is one of the better songs. Oh and then there is the game changer Gangsta's Paradise. A very good cover that shows that the band has a good sound but obviously doesnt know how to write proper songs. Sounds hard, but the contrast between Gangsta's Paradise and the rest of the songs is pretty striking. At least the album closes with a nice song. But all in all it's just too meh for my taste.

Nice long interview with Chris. I'm a big fan of the band but still learned a few things from it (the pictures are really old, though). Comments on the music industry and about and from Tremonti too. http://www.glidemagazine.com/147336/chr ... interview/
