I Am The Fire is out on their Youtube channel now. They did not include that intro in the live video that I posted. Still a pretty good song, imo, in comparison to the other studio versions we've heard so far.

I like the song, but I'm still kinda meh about the production. As far as the songwriting goes, this is my favorite of the singles. It's fairly unique for a Halestorm song. But when I listen to it, the production irks me a little bit. I still like it though.

Love the song. Especially the verses. The chorus is really good as well, but I can't get over the sound of the drums in it. It's shocking how bad they sound. The song would've been 10 times better if the drums didn't sound like... that.

Thanks Andy.

Hmmm, I like the vocals but I didn't really feel the chorus instrument music fit them.

I think hands down this is the best song of the bunch so far. I'm hoping for more in this vein for sure, although I do agree about the drums. They sound so washed out, which is a shame because a lot of Halestorm's appeal is Arejay's drumming I think.

i've kinda gotten over these guys quick. She's a good singer but it's not my thing. And most of the songs they've put out so far from this new album are pretty meh.

IMO.

Dang it, I got to leave for church in about an hour. I guess I shall listen to it tomorrow, if it's still around.

On another note, I do believe they are going to have a proshot livestream on Yahoo in a few weeks as well.

Haven't got to listen all of it yet but I still stand my statement that the production is horrible, drums especially sound awful.

I'm at New Modern Love right now, and even though the production is really off sometimes, you can really tell they pushed themselves with new sounds and stuff like that. Great transitions between songs as well, the album flows really well so far.

I think it's their best album from an instrumental standpoint so far. Yeah the production is hit and miss, but they were going for the feel of recording the band jamming together in a room. Joe has some guitar parts where it sounds like he just starts free styling a bit which is cool.

Lyrically, it's a Halestorm album, so I wouldn't expect much different. I didn't think it was littered with innuendoes though. There are some really good songs like I Am The Fire, Dear Daughter, and The Reckoning. I ran into a couple cringeworthy lyric moments for my taste, but overall the lyrics don't bother me too much.

I like it. And I usually don't like things on a first listen.

Well, the album's definitely better than the second one. I liked that it's an actual album, and not just a bunch of songs. Great flow and vibe throughout, good lenght and a lot of variety in dynamics, sounds etc..

The songs were kinda hit or miss for me, but I liked the majority of them. There are 2 or 3 songs that are a bit too silly for my taste, but there are some really great songs as well. Those songs Andy mentioned are my favourites too and I liked Scream a lot too. The southern vibe on the last song was cool as well.

Overal I ended up liking this album more than I thought I would. I don't think the singles are a good indication of the album as a whole.
