Actually I don't. I hear heavy songs on the radio all the time. I mean certain local rock radio stations just suck, but if we're talking about the active hard rock charts, that chart's full of heavier material. It seems like you're insinuating the band can't write a heavy single with a hook.

IIRC, Tremonti wrote Isolation. Seems that worked out pretty well.

I don't think he's implying that, I think JSlade is just voicing his opinion on singles from the previews publicly seen thus far. I know I enjoy Cauterize after hearing the whole song but I personally didn't care for the 10-15 second selection they used as a representative for it. If that was all I had heard I would feel differently about it being used as a single as well. Not to mention, you can enjoy a song and think it would make a poor single. I'm so stoked to hear Dark Trip again, one of my faves from what I heard, but I don't think it would do well on the radio. I think that's what he meant by single-worthy.

I think Flying Monkeys will be the first single considering how Mark felt about it.

Save for this preview and the linked section of the tremonti official videos I wasn't able to find more about the handful of songs than the snippets included on youtube. Save for those lucky people that went to the listening party, there's no other material available right?
