Re: Tremonti 2 Writing/Recording Sessions
at this point I think that they are thinking up song names/what goes on the album/lead single..also album art but thats Dan's job

Yes. I've got Fret12.com set to auto-refresh every 10 seconds.AB4Lyfe wrote:So basically, the album should be out in a couple minutes?

Isnt mastering a longer part of the process..? Compared to mixing i thought it was more lengthy, maybe i have it backwards idk.
Thanks Timo!

Mastering usually takes 1 day.
Re: Tremonti 2 Writing/Recording Sessions
Really? For 20 tracks? I'd at least think 2 or 3. It's not a one size fits all thing for every track.

Okay, of course mixing is the longer part of the process, thanks for the info!
Thanks Timo!

Re: Tremonti 2 Writing/Recording Sessions
probably being mastered ATM. By now Mark and the guys are probably deciding on which song stays and which song goes. Album art and stuff like that

Really hoping this is better than 'all I was' I admit it started with a bang. Love 2 thirds of the album and after giving up I thought it just fell flat maybe most of the songs started with a punch to the face straight away on the rifts but maybe Im tame

Brah, listen to Decay and All I Was. These songs are br00tel. And Proof which comes directly after Giving Up is one of my most favorite songs. So simple yet so beautiful.stokie steve wrote:Really hoping this is better than 'all I was' I admit it started with a bang. Proof has one of my favorite Mark solos in it. Short but damn good
Re: Tremonti 2 Writing/Recording Sessions
There's a not so short version out there...

I still don't get why he said it didn't fit the song? I think the longer version fits the song more than the chopped up excuse for a short version.Andy92 wrote:There's a not so short version out there...

Yea, the second part of the solo was fine. The edited version sounds ridiculous. It just doesn't feel natural.

Re: Tremonti 2 Writing/Recording Sessions
I wouldn't imagine a solo chopped up using Pro Tools would sound very natural lol.

Re: Tremonti 2 Writing/Recording Sessions
Can someone link to the extended solo?
Re: Tremonti 2 Writing/Recording Sessions
I'd have to dig for it. A site streamed the album (legally) like two days before launch, and they apparently weren't using the final master version of the album.

TODAY I HEARD NEW TREMONTI!
It took like 4 playthroughs for my brain to figure out what was happening where the cut normally begins.
Honestly, I don't think they did a bad job trimming the standard version though, I couldn't tell and he does play it that way live.
