Don't worry, peeps. This will make it to #1. That Pretty Reckless track is slowly dropping and, surprisingly, World on Fire is getting more increased airplays than Nickelback. This track will be at the top of the mountain.

I honestly dont even like World on Fire(the song) nearly as much as the rest of the record, not saying its a bad song, but its just radio rock imo, and the chorus kinda got old. Still, good song.

It looked like it had hit a wall a couple of weeks back at about #10, now it's gaining 200 plays in a week... Suppose that's what releasing an album does. Awesome for Myles and the band, they've got a ton of good options for the next single too.
For all of the hope that it brings...

Next single should be either Shadow Life or Beneath the Savage Sun. I'd say the former because it's a little more radio rock format. But the latter has some qualities that would make it a good single for the current radio climate.

Savage Sun might be waiting on the video - or spread via video promotion rather than a radio single to a different crowd.

30 years to life is awfully catchy for a radio song.

Aren't 30 Years to Life and Bent to Fly technically already singles since they were released before the album came out?

I know what you mean. I think I'm just confused as to what bands mean by singles nowadays lol. I'd think a song released ahead of the full album would be considered a single, but that doesn't mean the band chooses to send it to radio stations I guess.

They should start using the terms "radio single" and "promotional single" more often.

I agree. Whenever I think of the term "single," I think of a song that was on a single disc by itself along with a b-side (like how Pearl Jam's Jeremy was a single and Yellow Ledbetter was on the b-side of the record). But now with digital media, it seems like the word single just means a radio promo song, and b-side just means a bonus track that didn't make the album.

But anyways, if I had to choose a song to be the next radio single, I'd go with Wicked Stone.

i still think in the chorus of 30 years to life he says "what a deal I can't deny" as if he probably deserved a death sentence. Sounds cooler and adds a tad bit to the song. Plus, you could interpret it either way

Wicked Stone is totally my favorite off of the album, and I love it to pieces, but if we're talking a "radio single", then it's a bit too long compared to what they play on the radio.
Now, if we're talking promotional single...yes. I agree.

Radio Single wise, Automatic Overdrive would be a good one. And Shadow Life, like I previously brought up. Love that chorus.

The Unholy has just clicked with me, it's some good shit. Because it's at the end of an extremely long album I've only listened to it a handful of times, I usually only get to Dissident or Safari Inn and then have to do something else.

It's a long song, but you don't notice the length, it's just organic. As much as I love that AB have recently been writing longer songs, I do get the impression they sometimes over think it structurally.

I've already heard it played on Octane. It's shorter than 5 minutes. That's usually fine for radio.
