The Random Alter Bridge Thread

Post by Timotheus »

Thought this was missing on this board. Just a thread where we can post AB related stuff that doesn't really fit anywhere else, so we don't have to make a new thread everytime something smalls comes up or somebody has a question.

Mark just posted this on his instagram:

The Vibetool is pretty awesome:

Interesting to see Mark try out a Strymon pedal. I've seen a lot of post rock and worship guitarists use them but it will be interesting to see what he will use it for.

So. I heard Mark and Myles did a small acoustic set in Michigan last night.

Ehhh, on the setlist choices, but the acoustic versions are always solid.

I was sleeping on the plane earlier and I woke up immediately to the first chord of the pre-chorus from Waters Rising. That was awesome.

I don't understand when people have to be trolls for a band like Alter Bridge. I was on Youtube and there was an "Ahavo Rabo Taco Salad 2 Teaser video"...Surely enough I knew this was fake but I checked it out for lols and people actually think it's legit! :lol :facepalm If you Shazam! it; it comes up a song from Jeff Loomis's solo work.....

Just realized the upload date for that troll was Feb 4th so my apologies if this has already been brought to light....

I think its quite funny. Like the time someone put "Ritual" up and so many fell for it, including my self, but it was just a rick roll or some song that was onviously not AB. Or when someone said CoA was gonna be 12 minutes long.

But ARTS2 is something I actually look forward to some day. There's so much potential for that be the song that shows off the entire bands musicality prominently and equally.

Yeah, with Myles now participating in writing where he wasnt much during Ahavo Rabo Taco Salad. That would be cool.

Didn't see that this had been posted anywhere. Making of Video for Mark's new guitar with the custom paint job. Pretty cool seeing it all come together.

Might be asking too much here, but I wish that one time when the guys play Fortress live, that Myles play the higher guitar part in the second chorus. The riff is really cool sounding.

Looking through AB's twitter. Yes! Someone asked if there is an LA show which it got responded. The actual good news is that I did not have to resort to asking it on the twitter. The closest I got to asking if there is a show is when Brian did that video chat and I asked when the West Coast dates are going to be announced (he stated soon).

The response was "Yes, in Sept or Oct." I stated Yes! because that's means that I don't have to ask the band that question on the twitter.

I had a weird dream about AB last night. I went to this festival where AB was playing and expected them to play the same old playlist, but they were playing all these rare songs. At one point they even did a cover of Queens Of The Stone Age's Smooth Sailing and Muse's Panic Station combined. Myles was really into it, almost as if he was on something. At one point he apologized that they couldn't play the normal setlist because there were some problems with the guitars..
Later I talked to this woman who worked backstage and she told me Myles was being extremely annoying backstage. She described him as "the weird giggling guy". There was this dude who needed help with a wheelchair and while people were helping him Myles was making weird comments and was giggling the entire time.
