American rock band Alter Bridge is giving you an amazing opportunity to create the official music video for another song 'Cry Of Achilles'! The project allows complete creative freedom - so take a listen and be inspired by this track!
Deadline for submissions is June 16, 2014, 23:59 GMT time.

Awards & Judging
The selected video will receive $7,000 and have their video used as the official music video for Cry Of Achilles!
The official selection and finalist group will be chosen by Alter Bridge and Genero.

This is great! AB's music videos usually are pretty uncreative, so this way we actually have a chance to see a creative music video for Cry of Achilles.

Well, $7,000 is a better incentive than $4,200 and this is a better song to get creative with.

So do people have to actually make and shoot the video before a winner is chosen? I can't imagine they'll have many entries if you've got to do $7000 worth of work before even having a chance of getting paid, if your video doesn't get chosen you're out of pocket.

What's Next? Blackbird? After remembering that comment from Mark about making videos for BB and COA at some point, I don't think it's too far fetched you'll be seeing a contest for BB pop up sooner or later.

A music video doesn't have to be expensive to be good.. I know a few other bands who've done something like this, and most of the stuff I've seen is usually not that expensive. If you're creative and you're good in what you're doing you can make something really special. Time is another thing of course.

I really hope they don't.. Depends on the video they pick of course, but pieces of the story are going to miss if they cut out a few shots and paste in shots of the band.

Not "act" but be featured in the video. It wouldn't be like a 30 STM video, but just some kind of story video with the song over the top of it.
