Rock on the Range 2014
Re: Rock on the Range 2014
Sevenfold puts on a good show. Saw them there on the Nightmare tour. The band I'd be most interested in seeing that I haven't seen before is Killswitch Engage. A lot of bands on this year's lineup are repeats that I've already seen there. Still a solid list though, I wouldn't mind seeing some of the bands again. I'm thinking about waiting until they sell one day passes and buying one for the day AB is coming if that day's lineup is good.
I'd assume they just stick with two days though. This extending to Friday thing makes me tired lol. I went 2 1/2 days last year and it wore me out.

I would probably buy A7X and Ab's days. But idk if i'll be able to, if worst case, just AB's day. Best case, they both play the same day.
Thanks Timo!

If you don't buy a one day pass, just buy the entire weekend ticket. Buying 2 one day passes is more expensive than buying the full thing if my memory serves correctly.

Oh, well thanks for the info! How was the venue last time you went?
Thanks Timo!
Re: Rock on the Range 2014
It's a pretty nice place. It's in Crew Stadium which is the stadium for the soccer team in Columbus. Stage 1 is in the main stadium, stages 2 and 3 are in the left and right parking lots. It's pretty large, but I've had a lot of fun when I've gone. Been the past 3 years.

Awesome! Pretty excited, that is, if i actually go, to see all the cool stuff that goes on during the big show.
Thanks Timo!

90% sure you'll be able to get an autograph from AB if you want. FYE sets up an autograph tent every year, and a ton of the bands sign CDs if you buy them at the tent. AB signed last time they came, so I'd imagine they will this year.

Dang, i would bring my guitar, but that doesnt seem safe in the setting of a festival... I'd probably just get all my cd's signed, or just Fortress.
Thanks Timo!
Re: Rock on the Range 2014
I think you can only get signed what you buy at FYE. That's their catch with it.

Re: Rock on the Range 2014
Thats pretty odd, but its not that big of a deal when you pay almost 200 or something for tickets. One more Fortress CD wouldnt hurt...
Thanks Timo!
Re: Rock on the Range 2014
yes, they are playing on sunday... that was mentioned on AB's FB page. i believe you can also find that on AB's official tour page
Huge thanks to Andy! Love my new sig!
Re: Rock on the Range 2014
Well FYE sponsors the signing and gets all the bands to come. They do it that way so FYE can get money and the bands can sell more CDs.

Re: Rock on the Range 2014
That seems fair. Im sure there would be no other way to meet the guys.
Thanks Timo!
Re: Rock on the Range 2014
At a festival that size, that's pretty much the only way. Every now and then you'll see some band members walking around, but they're usually from smaller bands.

Maybe. I haven't fully decided yet. I'll probably wait until they announce individual day lineups. Might buy a one day pass.

Re: Rock on the Range 2014
Bump. Found a poster of the days.
On the one hand, it's great to see AB get 3rd placement in a US festival. That's like 55-60 min., right? On the other hand, they are behind Kid Rock and the Five Finger Fisting Guys. In addition, I'm not sure the idea of them being placed behind the other two days are any better.

My Trip to Orlando and Raleigh to see AB Posts

OM&M and AB on the same day, I'll take it! Sort of hoped they would play the same day as A7X, but its not a bad line up at all!
Thanks Timo!
