Lol, I'd love to see the audition tapes for LTWYHM. The drums in the bridge are beyond insane.

They're getting to be like Spinal Tap with losing drummers as it is.

Livestream was really good. They did a great cover of Ring of Fire on acoustics with vocal harmonies :)

Hadn't seen this old interview, most I've heard Roy speak about how he started drumming with them:

Finally remembered to order the Worlds Collide double CD set recently and got it yesterday. Live on U.S. Creed tour 2012 and acoustic in New Zealand. Great stuff. I like them live and recorded live better than studio albums. They recorded, mixed, mastered this themselves (including Roy) and it sounds great, at least to my amateur ears. The acoustic NZ stuff is the same as on their DVD I think but I'll be glad to have the CD to throw in the car stereo.

I'm actually good friends with the guy they picked. Justin Pitlik. He lives in Sugar Camp, rock skip away from my house. Actually had a chance to jam with a few times. Very talented guy. Good person too! He was actually suppose to DJ my wedding in June, hopefully he can still pull off that duty

I caught their headline show in Maryland last night. Not sure why they had a gap off the Stapp tour, but I was glad they did. They got to play a little bit longer set including some acoustic guitar. I guess I hadn't seen them in person, just livestreams and YouTube, since the 2011 AB III tour. I think they're getting better and better. They were damn near perfect last night, much as you can ask for at a live show, but also relaxed and cracking jokes and taking drunken fangirl comments in stride. When Kent's bass starting making weird noises before one song, they joked that he hasn't been the same since getting married :lol Fortunately even that sound problem was corrected fast.

Judging by lyric sing-alongs near the front, I think it was a good mix of "long-term" fans, newer fans, and people becoming fans. Friendly and patient with long lines of fans after the show as ever. They thanked local radio, promoters, agents, fans running the merch table, etc. throughout the show. New drummer was great, only his 7th show with them; seemed surprised when I wanted him to sign my band poster after the show too. Get used to it dude! Love these guys.

Not my video and not from last night, but a recent one from the Stapp tour:

By the way, Love the Way You Hate Me has been climbing on U.S. (#48 on active radio http://www.americasmusiccharts.com/index.cgi?fmt=R2) and N.Z. radio. Their EP hit the top 10 overall (including pop) in N.Z.

If anyone else is reading this and is new to the band, this is a recent interview that also covers the history of the band.
