Chris is doing his Songbook shows in Europe and Israel now through mid-July

Soundgarden is playing in the UK mid-July

Chris has said in recent interviews the new Soundgarden album should be out fall 2012.

Badmotorfinger and Euphoria Morning are probably two of my favourite albums, ever. I love Soundgarden, Matt Cameron is my favourite drummer and I just can't get enough of him. Chris Cornell is probably my favourite singer too, so versatile, I imagine listening to Badmotorfinger and then his Songbook album together must be weird.

I could go see them at Hyde Park, but it would involve alot of travelling and changing my work shifts, so I haven't decided. It would be good to see them though.

Well, I'd say go if you can afford the ticket and travel. I drove long distances each way to see Soundgarden once and Chris (Songbook tour) twice last year and I don't regret it at all. Chris is my favorite singer too, and songwriter and generally interesting person. I had nosebleed-high side seats in an arena for Soundgarden but I had a really good view of Matt and my eyes went between Chris and Matt the whole night. One thing Soundgarden fandom teaches is not to assume you'll ever get to see a favorite band again!

Chris Cornell's voice is heaven, and how cool to let a fan hop up and play guitar! Outshined is one of my favorites.

Anyone fans of Audioslave? I love their first album, the second is alright, and Relevations is really cool I think, I like how funk influenced it sounded. I much prefer Soundgarden though, so I don't really mind that Audioslave aren't around anymore :lol

Yup liked their first album a lot, Revelations is a fun one too.

I should note that I wasn't randomly bigging up Soundgarden in my last post, I'd just seen them live for the first time ever and was still on a high! Hearing the drums start up for Jesus Christ Pose was insane :D

Still on of my fav bands ever, would prefer them above Soundgarden and hope they will reform one day, don't see it happening though and i'm probably one of the only ones hoping for it to happen haha, will have to check out these Songbook dates in Europe though, hope to see Chris/Soundgarden some day too

Edit: He was in Holland a week ago, FUCK :lol oh well, next time it is :D

I didn't go in the end, in some ways I regret it, but I always hear horrible reviews from people that go to Hyde Park Hard Rock Calling. People always say it's too quiet and you can barely hear, with the festival being poorly run. What did you think of it?

Not many there in my opinion considering the size of Hyde Park, however the sound was superb couldn't fault it one bit, I have never witnessed experienced Bass quite like Ben's at an outdoor gig, it was like thunder :D

I think they may have had a real struggle shifting the tickets, a few days before the gig they were being sold for £20. I didn't think Soundgarden were really capable of headlining a big festival.

I hope they do a bigger UK tour, because I would really like to see them. On a side note, I like how Chris' voice isn't as good as it used to be sometimes, in that Jesus Christ Pose video you could tell he struggles with that song, but I think that makes the song alot more intense.
