Austin, I think I remember you from Creed Atlanta (with Staind) in the pit.
Re: Nashville 5/17/2014
Dude that'd be fucking crazy if so. Lets see, that was 09... I was 3rd ish "row" on the right side of the pit. I was tiny then, less than 100lbs. Probably the smallest guy in the pit. But I was rocking out hardcore.rexxjj wrote:Austin, I think I remember you from Creed Atlanta (with Staind) in the pit.

Were you with your dad? I was with my daughter...she was about 11 or 12. Right side.
Re: Nashville 5/17/2014
Yes I was. Hes a spitting image of me, just taller. I could rest my left arm on the catwalk, and Stapp gave me fist bump. He wasn't giving our side much attention and happened to notice little ole me.rexxjj wrote:Were you with your dad? I was with my daughter...she was about 11 or 12. Right side.
That was my first Staind and Creed concert. Was pure nostalgia. Being three rows back seeing my two favorite bands of all time play in front of 15,000 people... cant beat that
Re: Nashville 5/17/2014
Been thinking... not missing this. I will hitch hike, rob, steal, rape, murder, whatever. Ive drove to Charlotte, Augusta, and Atlanta for Staind. Well, Atlanta was mostly for Creed. But the other concerts were exclusively for Staind. Kind of a funny story I have actually...
The Charlotte show, Adelitas Way and Egypt Central opened. Devour the Day (opening for AB and Staind) is the old Egypt Central. And they kick ass. Favorite opening band that's not well known that ive ever heard.
If you're contemplating going, I can vouch first hand that Staind and Devour the Day are sensational live. I assume Alter Bridge is aswell.
The main show is less than 50 bucks a ticket, and features Staind, Alter Bridge, and Devour the Day, in that order.
And I just checked the festival site, good news. Devour the Day goes on at
6, AB at 7, and Staind at 8:45
so, looks like 45mins for Devour the Day, 90 mins for Ab, and 90-120 mins fo' Staind. So even though Ab isn't "headlining" we'll still get a full set.
Also, here's a pic of me and Aaron Lewis back in 2011, I was 16 then...

If anybody is looking for tickets to this, I have two that I need to sell because I'll be out of town that weekend. They're VIP and I'm willing to let them go at a greatly reduced price to a fellow diehard

No idea, but here's what I found this on the festival website. Set times!!!!!!
OUTSIDE MAIN STAGE:
Staind (8:45pm)
Alter Bridge (7pm)
Devour the Day (6pm)
http://rockontherow.com/
All right, so from the looks of it, AB may get 60-75 min.?

The Toker will be there.
Any tips on meeting the band after? It's been since '04 since I got pics with the band, and I've seen them 7-8 times since. Do you think they'll still hang out by the tour bus since it's kind of a festival, not a traditional show?
Have a good time, y'all.

Re: Nashville 5/17/2014
It's gonna be a strange setup. In general, The Cannery complex sucks. Terrible. There are much better venues in town. But anyway, The Cannery is the big downstairs stage (about 800 maybe). Mercy Lounge is upstairs. Not sure what the third indoor stage is.
The main stage will be an outdoor stage in the parking lot of The Cannery. A very tight squeeze. They've done this a couple of times before, but I've never seen it. I would guess the capacity would possibly be a few thousand (maybe 2k-3k).
This area of town (8th avenue) is kinda becoming hip again with lots of development. Parking is going to be really tough. The venue parking will now be the stage area. I'm local, and I really don't know where I'm going to park. There are some places on 8th back towards town that have public parking, but it may be a couple of blocks away.
I was at The Cannery for Chevelle a few weeks ago. It was sold out (about 800), packed, and not enough parking WITHOUT the festival stage setup. I'm going to get to the area early and see what the situation is.
The band busses usually park right out front (there's not really a 'back' to the cannery...backs up to train tracks). Bands are usually very accessible right out front after shows. But the setup makes this an unknown.
AB is playing Sunday in OH at ROTR, so I bet they'll bolt pretty soon after they play, probably during Staind's set.
Anyway, I cannot wait. My 3rd time to see AB.

See you there!! Do you know of any parking places in the area that I could look for? Maybe a heads up of where to park?
Re: Nashville 5/17/2014
look here:
https://www.google.com/maps/search/cann ... a=!3m1!1e3
Not much parking.
look a couple of blocks north and you'll see the new Music City Center. I may park there, they have a huge indoor garage.
