14 total songs recorded. at least 2-3 songs won't have Solos. I think Mark will do 7-10

2 solos in one song would be sweet...one long song.
Photobucket cash grab.

Just in case anyone was worried about Myles voice from this mini-tour between recording AB vocals......don't be.

Over in the Myles section they posted a video of him doing Paradise City tonight and he sounded insanely good.

Not sure he was just having a good night or trying to show off a bit, but his voice is sounding rested/powerful right now.

Good sign for AB4 vocals.

i dont really get how michael still predicts its gonna come out in late september or early october. we were completely done with recording abIII at this time of the year right? either way, i really cant wait til the part of the year when everyone starts releasing reviews and stuff. we had like 5-10 reviews to go off of but no actual music, and in the reviews they were revealing lyrics and just gave me chills. i specifically remember loving the GODGB review which consistently pointed out the bridge. i just want THAT soon. some song names or lyric samples. i feel like that reveals the direction theyre going much more so than whether the music is "heavy" or not

Heh, I did a quick google and ABIII was done with recording on 29 March... that's quite a difference.

That said, they didn't even have a label at this point last time round so that slowed things down a fair amount.
For all of the hope that it brings...

Yeah.
Wish they'd release the new album in August/September.

Recording will be done for AB in August. If they are able to release it in 2 months then they really did a good job in making copies and promotional stuff

Well, I really happy they are not rushing things. I am loving that they are working in this album more than one month, in oppposite what they did in ABIII.

Why would it be done in August? All that's left after Mark's solos is Myles' remaining vocals (only took him 2 days to do 5 songs) and possibly some Myles leads.

Do you have a source? Or are you just assuming? Because you sound pretty certain

I willing bet Mark has some vocals to lay down as well as Myles having some lead guitar and whatever else they plan to add to the song as listed on the white board. Then there is mixing, mastering, and album art

And album title... Which hopefully doesn't get named AB IV. God, I hope not.

I'm not entirely sure when Myles is coming back but June 16th is the last tour date.

- I'd assume he would be back in the studio by either the 18th or 19th of June.
- The next tour day is July 1st in NJ
- he will need at least 2 days for rehearsal and what nots.
- That tour ends July 25.

In all likely hood that he does vocals from the 18th to 30th or 31st of June is a bit of a stretch.

-Also he hasn't done lead guitars yet. So yes it could be completed before the July 1st tour start but I'm sure no one wants to rush anything.

So he will come back at the end of July and finish up

This record won't be out in late September. Anytime in October is a stretch too.

ya but you have to think that some of those steps are being taken care of right now. some of the songs have to be pretty close to completion by now, i bet you album art is also being completed now as well. i think it will be just like abIII. released in late october

yeah some of those songs are close to being completed and art work I'm sure will be done when they find out title names. The logo for AB4 I'm sure is done already.

Id'e like to think the record comes out before the first tour date but I don't think so. However.... There first single will most likely be out and they can sell the audience on that

It won't be. They won't name it AB IV after AB III. I think they've already said that in an interview somewhere. Even said they would change the title of AB III if they did it again.
Photobucket cash grab.

Yeah, I already knew that, Ry. But thanks anyway.

Wish we'd get a glimpse of the whiteboard atm and see how far they are with this record.
