AB Box Set

Post by Timotheus »

Via Dan Catullo:
"Working on details for our Creed and AB box sets that will be hopefully coming out this Spring/Summer."
If they're going to release B-sides, this is the moment :D

It probably won't happen like the other half of the projects which Dan talks about. Still waiting for Creed Live Deluxe and Live at Wembley 3D :lol

If it does happen, I hope it's worth our money and not just a rehash of what we've already bought, then I'll be interested!

Dan said live at wembley 3D could be included in the boxset, he is still gathering ideas and fan input.. of what people would want/expect...

From facebook (public group: Alter Bridge Wembley DVD)
If we were to make a Deluxe Box set of all AB Live product (DVD's and CD's) what extras would you want in it? Drumsticks, guitar picks, shirt, hat, etc? Also- would you like to see a custom coffee table book of the band's career? Tell us what you want. We are thinking a limited edition box set- around 3,000 made only- very special and intimate. Price point somewhere in the $150 range. Let me know what you all think. DC
I also found some lawsuits on google, but I guess I'm not going there, lol..

honestly, that doesn't appeal to me at all. i don't want to pay for stuff i already have. if they packaged that with the unreleased b-sides, i'd definitely buy it, but i'm not paying top dollar for 2 dvds i already own and some unsigned memorabilia. t-shirt or hat, maybe, but the price would have to be reasonable.

Yea, I can't react on the page yet. He has to accept my offer :lol

I kinda agree with you, zaz. Plectrums and stuff are nice (even though I already have AB plectrums :D) but they're not worth $150

I'm thinking of suggesting 'The making of ABIII' and those B-sides. I honestly don't think that's too much to ask, even though I'm not sure îf they label (and ex-labels) would let them do this.

The top thing people seem to want right now is a coffee table photo book. I think that would justify the price more than picks and stuff like that. The book, Wembley 3d and maybe a ticket contest like he did with Sully's release recently would be a nice little package deal to me. Don't have a 3d tv now, but plan on shelling for one next time I buy a tv. Nothing better to watch first than Wembley! :)

Was ITT supposed to get something too?

The story of the dude who "won" the signed guitar and meet and greet with the band still bums me out.

I guess the box set is a cool idea if it even follows through, but I'm not interested for $150.

Can't say I'm that interested. I already have posters, DVDs, shirts, picks, and met the band numerous times. B-sides would be nice but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I would only get this if it had unreleased B-Sides, honestly. Actually, just On My Way Now. I'd buy whatever has that track in a heart beat, even if it sends me to the poor house.

$150 for one song? :shrug I wonder what they'll be able to include in the Creed boxset... would love to see them snag the Ron Ranew doc and include one of the 2 live DVDs they filmed back in the day. I can almost guarantee that won't happen either but it's worth mentioning. Here is the boxset trailer from way back in 09...
