I know it's still early. Pawns & Kings arrives in a few days and I wanted to be ready with the poll for your top 5 songs. I am curious if This Is War and Silver Tongue will remain in mine. Second, I have often wondered if the guys see/read these polls and add songs to the tour setlist based on "fan favorites". Maybe Tim mentions it to them. I don't know.

Stay might grow on me some. That opening lyric is so painful, but the vocals and bridge are pretty sweet, so it may work it's way up.

Amazing
Fable of the Silent Son - What a musical journey. Possibly and likely a top 3/top 5 AB track.

Great
Last Man Standing - I fucking love the odd timings (and everything else about this song).
Silver Tongue - Got everything that an up-tempo AB song needs (except a solo).

Very Good
This Is War - Best solo on the album imho (in terms of harmony), not the exact style of song I love AB for, but still a damn good track.

(Pretty) Good
Pawns & Kings - Same as with The Last Hero, I just can't fully get into this song. Can't pinpoint why, maybe it's the overall harmony. Still a good song, just not one of my favs.
Stay - Catastrophic lyrics, but I really like the chorus (Myles' vocals are amazing) and especially the bridge - could've been a very cheesy song, luckily it isn't. Godspeed on steroids.
Season of Promise - Bridge really levels up this song, it's so emotional. Chorus is good as well. Tear Us Apart on serious steroids (because Tear Us Apart is a pretty weak song).
Dead Among the Living - Very solid song overall, but doesn't really have any standout qualities. Still like it.

Mediocre
Holiday - Might grow on me, but right now, the forgettable bridge really cripples the song, which is sad because I really dig the verse and chorus. Weakest song in terms of songwriting on the album to me, but might turn out to be a stable for me anyway.
Sin After Sin - Great almost unique atmosphere, but sorry, this is just a much weaker version of Show Me A Sign. I don't hate the chorus the way I did after first listening to it, but it's still a very long, very monotonous chorus that's repeated three times without any variation throughout the song. Main riff is interesting, verse is great, bridge is lame, song's just way too long for its lack of variety.

I haven't finished the album yet (I know, I'm late... been super busy with work this week).

As 'soon' as I finished 'Holiday' I had to come here and see if anyone else thought this tune in particular stood out in a not so great way.

I think I'd enjoy it more if this were with Slash & MK, but not as an AB tune at all. This feels very off brand for them. I do not expect them to be touring with this track in the setlist anytime soon if ever.

Like I said, I haven't finished the album yet, but I at least wanted to get that off my chest and on the interwebz.

Every album (except for Blackbird and ODR) has a track that I skip every single time. WTS, it's ... I can't even remember the name of the track but I literally skip it every single time. TLH, it's My Champion. Looks like Holiday is going to be it for this album.

So far 'This Is War' is just a solid opener and a killer solo. P&K's is still very high up there. I haven't listened to Fable yet. Will circle back around once I've finished the album.

I totally agree with these posts. It's an amalgamation - always wanted to use that word - and I like the song quite a bit.
