Yeah it would be. 808 is a classic drum loop/synth machine.
yeah i know lol
You asked it as a question as if you weren’t sure so I answered lol

I hope that a band of AB's calibre would have real orchestration rather than VSTs (regardless of how good they sound).

Any computer wizard in here that can screenshot the end of Brian’s IG preview of the song and upscale so we can read that white board’s song titles ? :wave

Even when these clips tell us basically nothing, I love when the album finally comes out and you get that "THERE'S that one clip!" experience. :cloud9

That was just a click track and not Flip riding a dimmed cowbell, right? :lol

Honestly, I'm not feeling that riff.

Definitely get a "less is more" vibe - kind of hoping that they expand on the riff as the song goes on.

Me either. But I’ll admit I wasn’t feeling Tremonti’s “Let That Be Us” clip when he played it during an interview. It grew on me a few listens after I heard the full track. Maybe this will too.

The cost of real orchestration honestly isn't worth it compared to how good DAW strings sound these days. :shrug

I get it but following this logic we don't need to bother Flip and use programmed drums because those sound pretty damn good nowadays as well.

The four members of the band are all a part of the brand. The average listener couldn't care less whether the strings (usually buried in the mix) were recorded live or not. I certainly don't. I make synthpop lmao, I couldn't be less precious about 'live instrumentation.'

We're still in a pandemic, technically, and bringing an actual orchestra for studio recording would cause a lot more logistical headaches than reaping the benefits of it, at the moment.

Due to unforseen circumstances I have 4 tickets too much for the Amsterdam-gig at the Ziggo Dome december 1st.
Floor-standing-tickets ; I would like to offer them to fellow AB-nation-members for a special reduced price. Buy secure from a fellow forum-member !
Interested ? Just send me a PM.
Don't know if this is allowed over here - just let me know if it is not, admins ! Then of course I will make my apologies and will withdraw my offer.
