I pre-ordered myself 1 copy of the Standard Edition (Hardcover) version and nothing else this time around because I felt that those prices were ridiculous even before the shipping cost. I would have purchased the 2nd bundle/Deluxe Edition but I dont care for red vinyl ODR so I had to pass on it and just order the novel. Not to mention the cheapest bundle to get a signed copy was the platinum edition which is ridiculously expensive to justify buying when I only care about the graphic novel, the signatures, and the 5 exclusive art prints. But if people wanna spend that much money on these packages then all the power to them! :peace

**PLOT SPOILER**

Post by gbruin »

The ghoulish replacement creates all sorts of mayhem for Alter Bridge: he cancels a long planned European arena tour in order to schedule a one off gig at a small former porn theater in Denver, Colorado, drives the bus to the wrong venue, sets up a vocal mike stand for BMarsh, creates a set list comprised entirely of The Last Hero songs with a Slash+MK&tC song for an encore, places Flips plexiglass drum shields around Mark's rig and cab, runs a meet and greet where fans wave to the band for 3.14 seconds from across the street, drops Myles' new custom microphone in a vat of acid, hires a pal named Elvis to run FOH soundboard who also mics up a nearby diesel generator and then turns every input up to 10, gets brown bananas for the green room, and sets 250 rear of stage strobe lights to quarter-second auto-repeat for 90 minutes.

In the end, an odd collection of 4 puzzled Alter Bridge fans and a stoned great dane who arrived in a pastel colored van notice the ghoulish replacement slinking off into the dark seedy depths of Colfax Blvd and find it odd that he is humming the melody to Bread Of Shame. They apprehend the ghoulish replacement before he can escape and rip off his mask revealing him to be...Scott Stapp.

Final line: Und uh wooduh gutten awuh wuh ut uff ut wurnt fur does muddling kuds...
Another photobucket casualty... :(

I'm torn on one hand I really want ODR on vinyl, on the other I don't want to pay 200 dollars US for it... (I'm assuming the price is USD)

It’s $99.99 USD. Just ordered mine. I have every album on vinyl so this will finally complete my Studio collection.

The deluxe edition is $120 maybe that is Canadian, although still with an extra 60ish for shipping that makes it a little too expensive for my blood right now.

Cool for the band. Personally... Don't think it fits the band and am not interested in this at all.

Could be great for our maffia games though!

if it came with a new song i'd be more accepting. I remember Stapps book had a code in it for Pray for sunrise. If this book had a similar thing I'd probably buy it. Alter Bridge is music not a graphic novel. new music would help sell the comic

Serious midlife crisis vibe about all this comic book stuff. I get The Dying Machine book tie-in, but this...

What are the odds the ODR vinyl isn't released by itself at some point?

I'll probably pass on this one...

In other news, Alter Bridge are the hardest working group of dudes in music...

Myles and Mark with a pair of solo albums
Slash writing a new record
Projected III coming out at some point
Whatever secret project Mark is working on
Live shows and tours slowly returning

AND!
AB reuniting in the studio next year...

:eek

I got two things to say about this.

First, I would actually like to see a setlist like that with all The Last Hero songs. It would probably look like this:

The Writing On The Wall
Last Of Our Kind
The Other Side
Poison In Your Veins
You Will Be Remembered
Show Me A Leader
My Champion
Island Of Fools
The Last Hero
Crows On A Wire
This Side Of Fate
Cradle To The Grave
Twilight
Losing Patience

Encore:
World On Fire

Second, Scott Stapp would be dumb to do that. If I really want to make Alter Bridge play a setlist that they hate, it would look more like this:

[One Life intro]
Island Of Fools
Save Me
I Know It Hurts
The Uninvited
You Will Be Remembered
Shed My Skin
Clear Horizon
Down To My Last
Walking On The Sky
Calm The Fire
Forever Falling
All Ends Well (Myles solo acoustic into full band)
This Side Of Fate
Life Must Go On
Watch Your Words

Encore:
Tear Us Apart
Losing Patience
I'm in love with somebody...
Found someone who completes me...
I'm in love with somebody...
Oh yeah...
And it's Lzzy Hale!

I wonder what the status on this is as of late. :headscratch :lol

It was advertised as a Fall 2021 release, it is now October. It is a Halloween themed graphic novel and there has been no updates about it in months or any mention of a potential release/shipping date :shrug I hope they actually did this project and we didn't get scammed :lol
