They played 15 songs, which is three more than they played on their 2019 U.S. tour.
The 2019 US tour was co-headlining so a shorter set is to be expected. One exception was their solo headlining show in Raleigh, at which they played 17 songs. And on this last run in Europe, they usually played 17, sometimes 18. So hopefully last night was a one-off and they get back to playing at least 17 in future. I'd still love to see them do 20+ but I'll keep dreaming lol

Hope so. 12 songs was very disappointing, regardless of a co-headline.

Fucking gutted.

I have tix and VIP for the Denver show and had planned on flying back from a DC trip on Sunday to be here for the show the next day. My wife has "cancelled" my plans and no amount of reasonable discussion or arguing is changing it.

Can't believe I'm gonna miss AB. :no

There's a saying: happy wife, happy life.

There is a corollary: Do what your furious wife insists, don't get murdered in your sleep.

I think both sayings have validity.

Family is about the only thing that would come before AB, but it's still a bummer.

Nope. Not much changed at all. Subbed Dying Light for Take The Crown (they continuously rotated WTS songs on the 2019 tour) and added Godspeed. In fact, it's nearly identical to the European 2019 tour minus one total song.

It's not that I have an issue with their classics. I love them all. But they said "We are changing up the setlist." But they're not.

I'm pleased they're keeping Watch Over You for this leg as my wife will love that. Just super bummed they have dumped Slip to the Void indefinitely when I got amped up for it. Wish they would sub White Knuckles in on 2/11. They killed it at the 2011 Live At Wembley show.

Also, does anyone know about what time AB starts on this tour? I would like to get there right before they start.

AB started about 8:45-9:00 PM CST. They played 16 songs. Awesome as usual. Place was slam packed. They caught me off guard with Forever Falling at Song 10 as it was the first time they've played it on this leg. Fully expected Waters Rising. It's not high on my list from WTS, but Mark really nailed it. Wife really enjoyed In Loving Memory. Hoped they would do Dying Light, but did Native Son instead. Love Native Son a bit more than Dying Light, but wanted Dying Light for my wife as she really enjoys it.

The Mars Music Hall is a brand new place in Huntsville, AL. It's quickly attracting bands who have either never performed or rarely performed in Huntsville. So I do believe they'll return. I was hoping Myles would have made mention that it was their 2nd time in Huntsville since 2005, but they might have forgotten and/or it wasn't relevant since 2005 was a large festival and they played very few songs. However, he didn't talk much between songs like he typically does. I think they were impressed with the turnout. I was shocked our town could pack the place for my favorite band.

A few pics I took...

HA! My wife's hand and ring made the pic!

Holy crap. I'm looking at Stubhub now for the LA show. Non-Pit GA floor is going for $26.00 for an electronic ticket. As a reference point, I paid that much for a ticket in the nosebleed seats of the same place for AB back in 2014. One of the most populated cities of the tour in probably the nicest friken venue that they will be in this tour, and non-pit GA floor is going for less than $30.00 in a secondary site. If I wasn't so committed and wanting to attempt to go rail in the front, I would have held out on not getting tickets on first day of the sale and wait until Stubhub has them this low.

On another note, Pit tickets is going for $97.00 on Stubhub. Quite a big contrast after like the first week when tickets are on sale when it was going for around $175.00

One more note, I think they mentioned this on Twitter and Ticketmaster has the show up with presale only to casino regular players, but it looks like they will be playing at a casino in Rama, Ontario in May 15th. One catch. The majority of the sections is all seats....... with the exception of a rail pit area. Big Wreck is playing that same venue on July 11th.

They didn't officially announce it. As I stated, the presale looks to be limited to only certain casino rewards players, but AB did answer a tweet that pretty much confirms that they are doing the show.

Well, we're a few shows into the US run now and their set lists have remained disappointingly consistent. It is funny that they keep posting on social media about how they are changing up their set lists... technically true, but most of it stays the same with only a few slots being rotated between just a handful of songs. They've also settled into a set length of 16 songs – one less than on their European run.

Anyway I'm probably overanalyzing things, and as someone who is not typically a cynic, I will echo all of my previous points about how tough it must be to craft set lists that satisfy the casual fan who expects to hear their more well-known material and the die-hard fan who wants to hear deep cuts.

On a more positive note, two nights ago Mark sang BID again – I saw a video and he killed it as usual. And last night they finally played something off of TLH... sure it was YWBR, but at least they haven't totally given up on the album.

Honestly, if they are going to do their best to incorporate all six albums in the set, shouldn't they try to fit more song slots like around 18-19 songs a night? It's not like people are actually there for the opening bands (I had no idea who Deepfall is until they got announced for this tour) although people do like Clint Lowery (and I don't blame them).

Also played My Champion on 2/14. Wish they played more from TLH...my 3rd fav album.

Man! The following night after our show, they did White Knuckles! They rarely play that in the U.S. Rats!

Whether it's a short or a long set, there is no excuse to always choose the same songs for the tours,
which is strange when they say they don't like to repeat themselves.
The deep cuts are also favorites and they know it. Why don't they play them, too?

About the new stuff, I still don't know what they are waiting for to play Clear Horizon, Walk The Sky and others.
I'm not expecting them to play the whole album (I don't think they're bold enough to do that) but they could throw, like 10 new songs for the set.
I don't understand why they waste time and money making albums and promoting them when they don't "intend" to play (much of) them.

Sound from the guy's phone mic is rough, but a good closeup of when we saw Forever Falling.

I'll tell you what, I'll always support the guys and see them when they come to town, but if they're playing the same sets every night, I'm a lot less inclined to take time off of work and spend money traveling to see them in other cities.

Well, then...... As a guy that's taking time off work and spending money traveling to see them in other cities next week, I already knew going into this trip, I'm not expecting them to play different sets every night, but I'm still going to enjoy it as much as I can and enjoy taking a day in each city doing something that has to do with that city.

I feel like the setlists aren't as good as they used to be, and I missed the golden age of AB setlists back in the Fortress era where there was a lot more Fortress being played than now (as its my fave album I would have preferred a Fortress heavy setlist). BUT with that being said on Wednesday February 26th in Seattle I will be attending my first ever AB concert complete with a M&G and a guitar clinic (go big or go home :lol) And regardless if the setlist has nothing but the same 6 or 7 WTS songs with no gems or debuts, I will still enjoy the experience to the best of my abilities because worrying about something like that after everything else Im experiencing that day is not good for me :lol

I know it's deeply narcissistic of me, but I swear they're doing this just to piss me off.
For all of the hope that it brings...
