They usually take awhile to roll them out. I'm assuming they just need time to practice and get comfortable.

Only three shows left to go (in addition to the two other shows in Texas over the weekend) after the album is out. I don't think they are going to feature any other songs from Walk the Sky until the start of the Europe tour. Nice to be surprised though.

I agree with Kev. I'd love to be wrong, but I wouldn't bet on hearing anything new with just 3 dates left. The boys are such perfectionists (way too much so imo) and they play what they are really comfortable with and well rehearsed at. I imagine they are working on some things at sound checks, but they're probably going to practice the new ones a lot and have them down pat before rolling them out live. Europe and hopefully the western US in 2020 will likely get more new ones from WTS.

Yes, I wouldn't expect them to perform any new songs for the remainder of the US tour, especially since they can only play a reduced set and somehow need to fit as many singles/well-known songs in there as possible.

Already seeing myself in Berlin, Hamburg or Leipzig in November with Myles saying "WE'RE GONNA PLAY THIS SONG FOR THE FIRST TIME" and then it's Native Son... Urgh... Last time he said that, they debuted Island Of Fools though. That was amazing.

Does anyone know when they finally made an effort to stop rushing songs? Find The Real is the best example. In 2004 it was played close to the correct tempo (about 75 bpm on the album). By 2006-07 they were rushing it and then if you look at the Wembley performance from 2011 they were playing it at lightspeed.

77 bpm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP5mdMcIdVE (2004)

92 bpm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KioDvHEO48s (2011)

It seems like sometime during the Fortress tour was when they figured it out? Pretty big difference from 2013 to 2014.

90 bpm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_fAfFIBa8I (2013)

82 bpm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=la1cVHCVc5Q (2014)

Weird though, here in 2016 it crept back up to 88 bpm.

The 2011 Wembley video actually sounds great if you set it to .85x speed. :lol

I think at the start of the Fortress tour was when they made the effort to stop rushing songs. That was also around the same time when Myles realized that standing and singing on the far left of the stage (from a viewer's perspective) was a positive thing for him.

Myles front left (sometimes comes to center), Mark front right (sometimes comes to center), Brian floats in center back between Mark , Myles, & Flip.

Flip started using a click track at some point, maybe the Fortress tour, maybe a bit earlier. That fixed things.

Sounds good, even though the outro (which is the best part of the song in my eyes) is a bit underwhelming.

Also, name a more iconic duo than Myles and wrong live lyrics. x)

They played everything light speed at the 2011 Wembley show, which I enjoyed. Love the versions of Come To Life, Buried Alive and White Knuckles.
