Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I believe it’s dropping at 12am in each time zone. So the states will be one of the last country to have the song on iTunes
Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
How do I do the VPN thing? Is it straight forward? Just change my iTunes Store to Australia?DarkKnight12 wrote:The single is on ITunes in some parts of the world where it’s the 28 already. Can access with a VPN on your computer, And I can confirm that it is LOUD.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I’m not sure cause I have a vpn that I pay for every month. Not sure about a free one. But when you have one you choose the country you want to be in and search iTunes on Google
Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I’m on iPhone so Apple are probably all over that shit haha any idea which country the single is already out in?

So, I’m betting One Life is the instrumental in some way because it’s only 1:23.

Yeah its everywhere now.
Curious to see what people think... verses and hooks are cool, chorus and solo are super, super underwhelming.
2/5 for me. Def their weakness first single for any album, by far.

Some strings at the end of that sample maybe? I do hope so. Bring it on!

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I like it. Their first singles are almost always a song that’s going to be lost in a bunch of epics throughout the album, and this is a classic Alter Bridge first single. The guitars are sounding top notch and Myles voice is sensual as hell.

Does the tracklist times show on itunes when its midnight in locations??joshuabeau wrote:So, I’m betting One Life is the instrumental in some way because it’s only 1:23.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I've listened to it twice since downloading it at work.
The lyrics and vocals definitely have more of a Slash's Conspirators vibe like I predicted this song might. Reminds me some of Driving Rain.
The chorus underwhelmed me some at first but the solo shreds!
Can't wait to hear it on some bigger, better speakers!

It's pretty bad, but I'm listening on open speakers, soon to check it out with headphones.Timotheus wrote:How is the mix compared to TLH?

I personally think it's pretty fucking bad, like that 'wall' of noise we heard in TLH it's even worse now. GOD I'm dissapointedDolo wrote:It's pretty bad, but I'm listening on open speakers, soon to check it out with headphones.Timotheus wrote:How is the mix compared to TLH?

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
My guesses
1. One Life (1:23) mostly atmospheric instrumental that leads into heavy banger
2. Wouldn’t You Rather (3:49) heavy banger
3. In The Deep (3:50)
4. Godspeed (4:16)- is this the tear jerker?
5. Native Son (4:15) -single
6. Take The Crown (4:47)- the white knuckles of the record
7. Indoctrination (4:40)
8. The Bitter End (3:44)- anthem
9. Pay No Mind (4:16)
10. Forever Falling (5:10) -epic with Myles hitting a high on the word "falling"
11. Clear Horizon (4:56) - or this the tear jerker?
12. Walking On The Sky (4:55)
13. Tear Us Apart (4:31)-
14. Dying Light (5:46)- definitely the epic

That’s pretty disappointing. I had hopes for longer tracksSHEAKENBAKEN wrote:1. One Life (1:23)TheEndisHere wrote:Can someone post the track lengths so we can figure out the epics?

Regarding the mix of the new single, it’s the same as TLH. Was hoping for a sound closer to Fortress, as well as to the sound of Mark’s solo. I love his sound on Fortress but not so much for TLH.. I’m sad now

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I would think judgment would be reserved until it is officially out in outlets like Spotify, Youtube (their Youtube channel), etc. before judging sound quality.
My Trip to Orlando and Raleigh to see AB Posts
