I liked that I could actually hear the riff well. The song grew on me watching that acoustic performance haha.Blackbirddd wrote:Wouldn't You Rather sounds x1000 times better on acoustic

I don't think parts of it translate to acoustic well. I wouldn't expect to see them play it this way live, there's likely a different ballad track.
Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I think the band is doing even more of a disservice to themselves than us with the aforementioned sonic shortcomings of most of their albums. I think they could actually be bigger and stand out more all over the world with a cleaner, crisper sound. Discerning rock fans expect more than an un-dynamic wall of sound.

Wouldn't You Rather isn't that great for acoustic guitars. The lighter strings make that down-tuned riff sound really flappy... The interview was alright considering the chick that's doing all of the talking with her hands...
Hard to believe Mark and Myles have known each other for 20 years... They met when Creed was on top of the world when I was only in Kindergarten.

That In Loving Memory acoustic performance was great.
Too bad we could barely hear what the guys were saying during the interview.

I could, but not as detailed as I could now. But I guess that will always be the case when you strip a song down like that.LosingPatience wrote:fix wrote:I liked that I could actually hear the riff well. I think I'm in the minority here, but none of their heavier songs have translated well to acoustic.UninvitedZero wrote:Wouldn't You Rather isn't that great for acoustic guitars. The lighter strings make that down-tuned riff sound really flappy...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
On another note, I noted in that Facebook video that they played In Loving Memory. I don't know if it is safe to say they are going to play that for the tour. If they do, I don't think I can keep it together and I'm already having a hard time keeping it together when I hear Watch Over You live.
