Peace Is Broken... Live?

I'm just wondering if Alter Bridge has ever or will ever perform Peace Is Broken live... Why hasn't it happened? That song is killer and one of my favorites from Fortress. Mark's bridge section never fails to get me singing along. Hopefully they give it a go one day.

I think the difficulty of the guitar riff might play into it. If I remember right, I think Mark has said in the past it’s one of the riffs that takes the most concentration to play.

That's kinda fair. But I say why record something you know you can't or won't play live? It is a crazy riff... But the band jammed One Day Remains regularly for ages, also a pretty beastly riff... With a couple rehearsals, they could pull it off!

Simple. Not every song a band records is played live and bands like to put together the best album possible when recording. This is true of almost all bands, especially ones that have multiple albums under their belt. If you come up with a great song, why limit your creativity on an album to only record things that are easy enough to play live when you know you're possibly not going to play it anyway?

Think it's Myles that's more concerned about the riff, probably quite hard for them both to sync up with each other as well. Agreed that it would be cool to see them try and pull it off eventually, but don't think there's Words Darker-esque fan demand for it (although, accordingly, a lot less expectation).

Cradle to the Grave needs a playing at some point, too.

I think Mark said this in an interview, makes perfect sense.

I still can’t believe they avoided Words for years because of the difficulty at the end and they pulled it off with a freakin’ orchestra lol.

Yeah, it blows my mind that they haven't played Cradle to the Grave yet.

I think with PIB Mark is the more hesitant one because of the main riff. With CTTG I think is hard for Myles because of the subject matter.

As has already been said, a lot of bands put together the best possible album, even if it means some of the songs will be difficult to reproduce live.

Take Metallica for instance, it took years for them to play "Frayed Ends Of Sanity", and other songs from the "...And Justice For All" album live despite a huge demand for it from fans.

I though would love to hear Peace Is Broken live. It's up there among my favourite songs by the band

But while I wrote that I realised that even if the band wanted to treat us with those recordings, probably this Catullo-guy holds these recordings hostage......................

I would at least like to hear a professional live recording of Calm The Fire. I don't need anything else, just that one.

Easily should have been on Royal Albert Hall. A song like that with an orchestra?!?

We could all go find RAH omission head-scratchers. Rise Today comes to mind just because the crowd was singing it as they were walking off the stage. But Calm The Fire fits an orchestra perfectly.

I wasn't necessarily talking about wanting that specific song. I meant that of the songs played at Live In Milan, we already have professional live recordings of all the others, right? So it sucks that we don't have that one song when we know a live recording of it exists.

If we're talking about songs we wished we had professional live recordings of, my top pick would be The Uninvited.

Yup that one too. There are WAY too many of theirs that don't have pro recordings. About half of ABIII doesn't, which is one of my Top 2 fav albums.

Yes, would love to see a gig where they play that album completely, as it is my favorite AB-album. Some bands do that occasionally with albums of their catalogue.

Half? Make It Right, Fallout, Breathe Again...3 out of 14 is not half.

Pro recordings (DVD or CD or at least an authorized entity like Rockpalast / Rock am Ring / Live Nation that shot pro video and got their audio feed from the soundboard), NOT recorded by an audience member. If I'm wrong, then give links to pro recordings of Still Remains, Show Me A Sign and Life Must Go On. If I'm right, then that's 6 of 14, which is "About half."
