An extraordinary music experience from The Royal Albert Hall!
Biggest hits & never previously performed rarities!

Some nights are just pure magic! In October of 2017, hard rock titans Alter Bridge took to the stage of the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London for two very special headline shows. Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips treated the capacity crowds to selections from their entire musical catalog. The set list included some of the band's biggest hits; rarities and even a few songs the band had never previously performed live. Adding another career first for the band, Alter Bridge was joined on stage by conductor Simon Dobson and the 52-piece Parallax Orchestra. Together, everyone on stage during those two extraordinary nights treated the combined crowd of over 10,000 fans to an unforgettable music experience. Now those two performances have been combined in to one full length, epic concert that is to be shared with fans around the globe in Alter Bridge: Live At The Royal Albert Hall.

I'm gonna buy this so much. That's the first AB release I am really excited about since Fortress.

So the first 2 discs are audio, and the 3rd disc is the full length concert on DVD/Blu-Ray?

Correct, but the funny thing from what I am seeing on the tracklist on the OP is that for the DVD, there is going to be some behind the scenes stuff in between songs? That's interesting to format it that way, because you would think they would typically format it with the whole concert altogether and you would put the behind the scenes stuff in a separate feature.

Just as a bit of context, I consider myself to be quite far from an AB diehard fan or a 'fanboy', but I went to both of the Royal Albert Hall shows and I thought the shows were absolutely incredible. This DVD is an absolute instant must buy for me, simply because I cannot wait to relive the nights. There were some moments that were truly jaw-dropping and breath taking. I hope that they do some kind of massive special edition with nice presentation, as I'd even buy that.

I am being exceptionally nit-picky here, but it's slightly false advertising to say 'The set list included some of the band's biggest hits; rarities and even a few songs the band had never previously performed live.' By the time the gigs came around, the only song they hadn't previously played was Words. Please don't go me wrong though, I still cannot wait for the DVD.

Well, if we really are nitpicking, the definition of few is "a small number of." One is a small number, so the word few is accurate here, even though, we would think that few is at least more than one.

Yea. For some reason I expected that you can fit such a whole set onto a single CD. Seems like CD capacity hasn't increased over the years tho.

You would think these days you can fit two hours in a single CD, but nope, 75 minutes is still the cap.

Cool preview video, but I was hoping for at least a snippet of concert footage. Hopefully they release a full song on YouTube ahead of the actual release.

A snippet of songs or music will come friday when they announce the pre-order. I imagine with a true trailer! ;)

Does anyone know which night the DVD is? If I had to guess then the CD would be the first performance and the DVD the second, but it'd be cool to get a confirmation.

I'd say they choose the best performance/audio for each song from each night. BUT it can be difficult because then you see slightly different crowds and so on. If they do that, they probably say in the description they took it from both nights just so there is no confusion! That would be my guess.

So how does this Australian seller manages to be able to have the presale up a week earlier than the label itself each time ?
I’m really hoping for some solid Napalm-packages. A nice earbook like the O2 package.

Almost 100% sure that they are just taking whichever version of a particular song came out better and using that one, so we'll end up with a combination of both shows. This is how most bands treat live recordings when they're done over multiple nights.
