It technically was but I recall reading that a lot of seats are held by permanent members who may not have been interested in a hard rock show.

What they should have done (I think) is reach out to those members to see if they want to go. If not, get permission to put the seats up. A show of this magnitude, somebody would have picked them up.

This is correct. All tickets were sold. Unfortunately, some seats were empty. There were a few no shows, and some tickets that season package holders either did not or could not resell.

There was also a guy, Timo stated, that was seated in front of a pole and then left. The Royal Albert Hall Twitter replied to contact a stewardess but the guy might have left by then.

This is what Mark said in an interview:

"You recorded other live shows in London, will we see any of those songs for future “B-sides”?

MT: I doubt it. We will be filming our two shows in London when we play the Royal Albert Hall in London with the 52 piece Parallax Orchestra. We’re going to try and have that Live DVD out by Christmas."

I believe that's what was originally speculated, but I think Mark may be one of the more reliable sources.

Edit: now that I think about it, it might have been Timmeh who said next year.

That would certainly be nice. They could even give the original ticketholder a cut of the resale value. Who knows, perhaps they already do that now. I believe some ticketholders had posted their seats for resale on third-party sites, but something tells me many of those wealthy enough to be RAH members don't find the effort worthwhile.
