They're really playing to their strengths here, and the orchestra will bring them to another level. I hope all of this will have a positive influence on the new album.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation
I really hoped they would include Show me a Sign and Wayward One. But this is a great set and it's going to be epic!
This is something that all bands should do.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation
What a setlist!....although All Hope is Gone would've sounded tremendous with a full orchestra. We really are spoiled for choice with this band. Just shows how great they really are.
Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation
That's an amazing set list even without the orchestra.

Looks like it, it says October 2nd and 3rd on that setlistAB4Lyfe wrote:But will they play the same set two nights in a row...?

That set list really does qualify for the label of epic.
And not just throwing in the singles for the sake of it, either. Really impressed.

For all of the hope that it brings...
Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation
I'm almost certain they'll play the same set both nights. Not uncommon for a show like this if they wanna shoot a DVD so they can pick and choose the best performances from each night to make one show.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation
Yeah, this is going to be quite the set. According to setlist.fm, their top five most frequently played songs are in this order.
1. Metalingus
2. Rise Today
3. Come to Life
4. Blackbird
5. Ties That Bind
Only two from that top five looks to be played and it's the bottom two of the top five.
I think we should be glad that they did not want to go with the approach of cramming songs like Isolation, Metalingus, Farther than the Sun, Rise Today, My Champion, etc. with an orchestra and hope it works out and they opted to go for the much more intricate songs as oppose to the high-energy rocker singles-like tracks. I mean five of the longest songs that AB has composed is going to be played in this show. That's immense. Plus, you got Waters Rising, Words Darker Than Their Wings, Open Your Eyes, In Loving Memory, The Other Side, which are 5 minutes+.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation
By golly that is an amazing set. All these years of waiting for Words is paying off
In Loving Memory is gonna ruin me
Edit: Also the combo of Blackbird and Open Your Eyes to end the night is PERFECT. I love this band.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation
Probably a good guess, maybe even Wonderful Life tossed in there if it's a medley like it appears to be.Greenster wrote:I'm guessing .17 will be Watch Over You.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation
The biggest disappointment of the set...
Otherwise it's rock fucking solid.

Acoustic confirmed by Myles’ post on Instagram. So I take it Wonderful Life/Watch Over You Medley.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation
The triple whammy of Achilles, ILM, and Fortress is going to end me. But at least I will go extremely happy.
