Does anyone know why the ODR B-sides are finally being released now? There has been a lot of speculation in the past that Wind Up prevented them from releasing the songs... I'm just wondering if they stayed in the vault until now because they're finally free from Wind Up's grasp, or are they just releasing it now simply because they feel like it?

Those are just unreleased songs, so could be that the recordings had been laying around for years and this was a good opportunity to release them.

I recall Mark mentioning how Wind-up was obstructing the release of any ODR b-sides, likely because they had no interest in supporting Alter Bridge when doing so would undermine Creed's chances of reuniting. With Concord Bicycle purchasing Wind-up's catalogue (and eventually the entire label), the new business model may place a renewed focus on earning royalties from back catalogue recordings rather than trying to revitalize a band that frankly will never return to their 1999–2001 level of popularity.

According to Wikipedia the catalogue purchase was in 2013, and the label acquisition was in 2015. So, fairly recent.

I seem to recall Dan C tried to include the b-sides in the ABX box set but was ultimately unsuccessful. That was in the 2014 timeframe, amidst all the acquisition activity. Perhaps it became easier to deal with them now it's been a couple years and the dust has settled.
