If it didn't cost $1,800 just to get to London, I would absolutely be going to this. Doesn't include the cost of the show(s), lodging, daily food and travel, and merch. Maybe one day, but for now I'll have to just enjoy the DVD

This is really cool! Also really curious how the setlist is going to look like. Whether they are going to play some songs that they don't play much or stick with the usual ones. I think songs like Burn It Down, Words Darker Than Their Wings and Lover good sound really good with an orchestra.

Alter Bridge Announce Two Very Special Nights At The Royal Albert Hall!

Following their jaw-dropping set at Download Festival this weekend, US rock giants ALTER BRIDGE have announced their return to the UK for two very special headline shows on October 2nd and 3rd.

Appearing at the legendary Royal Albert Hall in London for the first time, the band will treat the audience to an array of songs never before played live as well as fan favourite hits, drawn from their acclaimed five album catalogue. In another first, the group will also be accompanied by the Parallax Orchestra - a 52-piece London-based symphony orchestra conducted by Simon Dobson - adding an impressive new dimension to their already captivating live show.

Tickets for the two nights go on general sale at 10am on Friday 16th June. Pre-sales begin 10am Wednesday 14th June via O2 and 10am Thursday 15th June via Live Nation and the Royal Albert Hall. To buy tickets from 10am on Friday, go here: https://www.livenation.co.uk/artist/alt ... ge-tickets or call the Royal Albert Hall box office on 0207 589 8212.

ALTER BRIDGE will release a new live album and rarities collection, 'Live At The O2 Arena + Rarities', on September 8th via Napalm Records. One of the biggest moments of the band’s career to date was the monumental show at London's O2 Arena on November 24th, 2016, which was captured in its entirety. The 'Rarities' disc adds another ten rare/never released before songs. This incredible selection will be available in multiple formats. In addition to a standard 3-CD audio version, fans can pick up one of the limited deluxe editions (including a 4-LP set and a CD/DVD Earbook) which also include an exclusive ALTER BRIDGE documentary featuring extensive interviews with the band, their crew, and family, giving an amazing glimpse behind the scenes at the O2 Arena show. Watch a trailer here: https://youtu.be/Ifw-sdxHrvU

The album can be preordered here: http://smarturl.it/LiveAtTheO2Arena

Does anyone here know how the seating for RAH works? On Ticketmaster it gives options for seating and standing, is standing on the floor or in the gallery upstairs?

I'm torn between seating and standing. It's not a normal concert so leaning towards seating to fully take the epic ness but then I've always stood at previous gigs...decisions decisions!

I am so damn excited omg

Edit: listening to The Last Hero right now, and that breakdown would sound so good with an orchestra.. just saying.

God, I hope they nail the arrangements for the orchestra. That's make or break.

Oh man, I wonder if the never-before-played songs will include WDDTW.

Ditto that! I want to know about everything including how the the orchestral parts were composed, what their practices looked like, etc.
